I named the channel lazy as I had no intention of spending much effort making videos . It seems now I spending days and days recording and editing Please give me a like and subscribe
If you want steep head to Thornilee, everything is pretty mellow at GT. You should be adding low speed compression and dialing back high speed. Reducing low speed will just allow the fork dive more when braking on steeps
Wtf, Ive lived in Southampton my whole life and didn't know this place existed until this video popped up on RU-vid. Definitely taking my bike here next weekend lol
Looks like you have went up by feed the pony trail (That would have been to the right of your climb) unfortunately that is the only way up and it’s absolutely brutal. Partly the reason some of the trails up that side are hardly ridden 😂
Please don't use enduro max fill bearings. I'm testing them without issues but performance line bearings have advised they don't last long in full rotation situations
That's a-lotof tinkering-around with an expensive component. Surely no company would allow a warranty-coverage, if this is done, and the motor...fails. Much the same as installing a speedbox, which voids any warranty. Your best option: Keep that expensive e-bike toy, out of wet weather. That includes humidity. Yes. Humidity damage also tends to void most motor brand warranties.
What time of year would you recommend to go do this as I don’t wanna drive there and mow down hikers , plus il have to push the hardtail to the top lol 😂
Summer months your not allowed on the mountain between 10am and 5pm. Your going to enjoy the experience so much more the fewer people there. The weather at the summit can be quite bad. So when you plan to go have some flexibility. Eg if you are heading up for the weekend only decide which day based on forecast max 18 hours before. We planned Saturday morning but did Snowdon Friday evening due to weather forecast for the weekend. Then go ride coed y
@@LazyMTBrider I’m on a mtb course in north wales toward end of November and I reckon subject to weather window I could get away with doing it on the Friday before heading home
mountain passes need to be graded out because they get used and eroded. At one point the Rangers Path will have been extremely smooth and will have been worn away over time. Gravel and rocks have to be airdropped onto mountains to restore them after people use them. The paths you used are bridleways that see walkers, bikers and horse riders. Complaining that the surface is better is an elitist mentality that excludes less capable people from the sport, and is only something i see from other MTBers. People were complaining that the Chute on the Mach loop got graded out but they failed to realise people who aren't enduro riders use it too. Now more people can enjoy the sport and there are still plenty of rugged off-road passes to try. have a go at the Sarn Helen, you'll be dreaming of the Telegraph Valley before long.
I watched the vid to see if its worth going & read your comment which I agree with, so, not gonna bother. Flicked through your other vids & watched you do the Macavalanche so my worthless 2c is. Forget booking that again, get to Alpe d'Huez for the Megavalanche, you sound like you'll love it.
I’ve completed rangers path 3 times. It always feels gnarly and the top section is flat out. Then those steep switch backs. Bloody awesome. Really good vlog mate
I get what you are saying about trail sanitisation but it doesn't look easy! Probably a mix of sanitisation, practice and improvement, better bikes. Anyway - use a hardtail next or no dabs on a FS!
Yes what worries me is there working the way up further and further chipping away and turning more to loose gravel. Yes I also get what your saying. I have new goal to ride it without putting my foot down at all. I seem to have no reduction in enthusiasm to ride it no matter how many times.
Love eastridge, I’ve had some mixed runs down steepy, from accomplished to sliding on my a*s 🤣 not done hopton since 2020, might have to go back, great video 👍🏻
Great video mate, that first track you did at Eastridge really is a steep one (we refer to it as Steepy). Long time since I've been to Hopton; pre-foresting. Looks quite different now although it looks like the tracks were left as they were (or rebuilt), which is cool 👍
Im moving to Tarland soon, looking forward to checking this place out. I normally prefer steep and tight(like innerleithen), but will still be good to have this on my doorstep
I guess it depends. I'm from down south and anything like this is extremely uncommon. I'd say my riding has come on a bit since then but I've watched some other people videos and the mention many years before they rode it
@@LazyMTBrider No that phone on the bars lol.... I'd point you to 6:12 - it's flapping about like a politicians gob... 🤪 No criticism of the rest of the vid 😂
Some great drone footage although you wouldnt want to tip the wrong way on that trail! Despite wind, bog, flat battery and loose pedal looks like a great day out with the end trail looking very steep indeed, very well put together video and thanks for sharing! 😁🤙
I absolutely agree. I enjoyed it and not I get to go back and do it all again without those issues. Thanks so much for the comments on the video. Please subscribe
What a disaster 😩an adventure you won’t forget in a hurry, worlds end is a fantastic loop, can’t imagine doing it on an ebike with no battery though 😮🤣 it made for a great video anyway 👍🏻 the trail behind nationwide is so steep and loose, the camera never does it justice, especially the rock roll at the end haha, great stuff mate 👍🏻
Hi was quite pleased riding the nationwide trail. I'd did skip the rock slab but I will do it next time and then I've cleaned the whole trail....stuff going wrong is all part of the adventure as long as no one gets hurt bad days are oddly fun too. .
Great video mate, shame I was unable to join you - with your mechanicals and flat battery, probably the only time I would beet eBikers up hills 😃. Worlds End is an incredible trail but yeah, not in those conditions. The short loop (missing out the masts) is fine in winter as there's only one really boggy section but the masts trail... yeah, that's a different matter. As for the trail in Swindon, I can vouch that it's steep and also insanely loose; shale filled ruts that it's incredibly difficult to control the bike in.
