“Being humble means recognising that we are not on Earth to see how important we can become, but to see how much difference we can make in the lives of others.” (Gordon B Hinckley)
This guy was a two stadium champion in Muay Thai and casually went to boxing and won the damn WBC belt then went back to Muay Thai and won another championship. Lol
Technical geniuses like him dominate the kind of fighters he’s talking about: it doesn’t matter how powerful you are if you hit air, you’re just getting tired; and the more you tire the easier it’s going to be to counter.
For sure it’s just unfortunate that crowds don’t favor highly technical guys like him anymore, its all about getting knockouts and being flashy so heavy hitters are favored by judges and crowds
@@lemon-james Partially yes, but technical fighters are some times beautiful to watch even for the crowd and get the KOs due to their precision. In kickboxing, Giorgio Petrosyan, even if he’s not known by the masses, is considered the greatest and he’s called “the doctor”; in MMA highly technical strikers like Israel Adesanya or even Conor McGregor, with the help of the showmanship, are great stars; just like Floyd Mayweather in boxing. It’s still true though that, for example, a genius like Rigondeaux got booed many times for being untouchable and dancing better than Roberto Bolle. It’s not all dark: we’ll keep being technical and tactical… never lost fight, no sign of brain damage, never had a terrible injury, and it’s fun to dance around my opponents (especially to their right, if they’re orthodox) switching stance.
@@uydfxstxeus1300 true but I was talking more about MT specifically, a lot of the current promotions have rules that severely limit clinching and force fighters to engage to get knockouts
@@lemon-james I agree. Not only that: fighters, at least where i live, basically train just for power and never for speed. When they hit the bag they throw only powerful shots and they gas out immediately.
I don't like it but Rodtang definitely needs to fight smarter in this and not just want to brawl to the point where he eats punches without returning anything causing points.
The confidence in their Endurence that Muay Thai fighters have are good but in Kickboxing defend the punchs with the chin doesn't make you gain decisions by points.
Even though he's not Fast, Heavy Hitter, but he would always also catch you off guard with a Fancy Beautiful Spin move, or he'll contort his body to land a Kick or Punch an knock you backwards with just a little tippy tap, if in a Fight if the other person doesn't hit hard or isn't fast enough to do some damage, there's always someone going in for Punches, Kicks for Points and Scores, he was a Point and Score Fighter, most Modern Fighters are Heavy Hitters an Career Ending Fighters, Fighters in Samart's Era were all Smart, because they fought for Points, Scores, an Depended on their Skills, not their Speed, Strength or anything, that was until Muay Thai Fighters had enough of Foreign Fighters saying Muay Thai was weak, until they went from Point Scoring Fighters to breaking your shins an ribs with a Kick, The Evolved, Devolved an Evolved, every Fighting Style or Martial Arts, it Evolves, Devolves, an always Evolves, it's a back an forth, same with Life.
@@morrisg5060 they fought already, tenshin won by decision, rodtang followed his game plan, lower his guard, taunt n let tenshin punch his face to prove that he's (rodtang) really tough....
the fact hes humble enough to say this. What other muay thai fighter fights with their hands at their sides. NO he will be always remembered. Everyday he is an inspiration. Always hope to be as high iq of a fighter. Samart you would dominate this generation as well.
Japan envious muay thai I remember when they out scored buakaws points in K1 its embarrassing to the world combat sports its nothing new though, In this fight if anything tenshin didnt do any heavy damage cause even the jap knew he didnt the rodtang blocked an ate a lot of those punches rodtang had him bacl peddling a lot plus through more damaging punches.. hence why you dont see much thai fighters in k1 anymore its obvious i alot of thai promoters refuse to send their fighters their now but depending on the promoters an fighters
You didn't watch the whole fight. There is a part when Tenshin claimed he was lowblowed and got a minute or so rest. It's actually a legit knee to the body. Tenshin being an actor saved him from getting koed.
