ایک اندازے کے مطابق تھائی لینڈ سیاحت سے 40 ارب ڈالر سالانہ کماتا ہے۔ ملائیشیا 19 ارب ڈالر، اور چھوٹا سا پانامہ بھی 4 ارب ڈالر سالانہ کما لیتا ہے۔ آپ یہ جان کر حیران ہونگے کہ انڈیا سیاحت سے 220 ارب اور میڈیکل ٹؤرازم سے 3 ارب ڈالر سالانہ کماتا ہے۔ اس سے بھی زیادہ حیران کن بات یہ ہے کہ ویتنام کے پاس سیاحتی مقامات بہت کم ہیں پھر بھی وہ سیاحت سے سالانہ 26 ارب ڈالر کما لیتا ہے۔ آپ جانتے ہیں، پاکستان اس دوڑ میں بہت پیچھے ہے اور یہ صرف 328 ملین (0.328 ارب) ڈالر سالانہ کماتا ہے؟ جبکہ ہمارے پاس سیاحت کے بہت سارے ذرائع/ مواقع موجود ہیں، پہاڑ، وادیاں، دریا، درخت، سبزہ، صحرا، تاریخی مقامات، آثار قدیمہ، سپورٹس، ساحل، بوٹنگ، رافٹنگ، سکوبا ڈائیونگ (واٹر سپورٹس)، مختلف مذاہب کے لیئے مذہبی سیاحت اور اس کے ساتھ ساتھ میڈیکل ٹؤرازم بھی ممکن ہے۔ آخر میں ایک گزارش کرنا چاہتا ہوں، کہ دنیا میں سیاحت کے کاروبار حجم لگ بھگ 7600 ارب ڈالر سالانہ ہے۔ جبکہ پاکستانی بجٹ صرف 5 ارب ڈالر سالانہ ہے۔ اس بات پر افسوس کرنے کے علاوہ اور کوئی چارہ نہیں۔
The Lahore Fort شاہی قلعہ,is a citadel in the city of Lahore in Punjab, Pakistan. The fortress is located at the northern end of the Walled City of Lahore and spreads over an area greater than 20 hectares (49 acres). It contains 21 notable monuments, some of which date to the era of Emperor Akbar. The Lahore Fort is notable for having been almost entirely rebuilt in the 17th century, when the Mughal Empire was at the height of its splendor and opulence.
Lahore Zoo is situated at prime area on the Mall, Lahore adjacent to Lawrence Garden spreading overall area of 25 acres. It was established in 1872. It remained under control with various organizations / department i.e. Lahore Municipal Corporation, District Administration, Lahore, Livestock and Dairy Development department before its transfer to Punjab Wildlife department in 1982.
