Looks like a lot of excess room still available with that monster. Could you get away with a 60 litre version or would it be too tight for all your stuff ?
I started using a plug kit called Dynaplug.. super slick!! I was remote and hit 2 nails.. 1,000 miles later and was holding solid… it’s very fast and just another option… The little screw plug makes great sense!!💯👍🏽
If l was forced to buy one of thise things, l take the green, and then l would needed to park it in the corner so l never had to see that headlight ever again. Always approach from behind😄. Im sorry, but this headlight are worse than the new tiger 1200. Just my personal prefrance.
Hey Billy, defo wasn't love from first sight as the side view looked really boxy, though the cockpit view gave us a proper taste of what the bike would be like and loved riding the 1300 in it's non-ADV guise; for me, Trophy all the way (as a current Trophy and former Rally rider of the 1200 and 1250 versions!), but actually I am considering the non-ADV next time around!!....
Getting on mines tonight bought grit and metal.polosher, you think i still need to replace seal afterwards or give it a clean with sealmate will get it done, ive cleaned many times but as long as theres scratches gona keep leaking rights? so im wondering if its to late and need to replace the seal
It wont hurt to try and clean the seal out with a seal mate, Im pretty sure you can even make your own out off plastic milk cartons, if you don’t already have one.
Hi. I’ve tried a few of this style boot and I’m finding them too narrow for my slightly wide feet, would you say your feet are Slightly wide or normal? Thanks
I would say mine are slightly wider than normal. Might be worth ordering from a place like sports bike shop, they have a really good returns policy. In case they don’t fit.
A good few years id imagine, mine looks as good as new, and im riding over it twice a day. I don’t see any issues with a pickup truck going over it, its not bike specific or anything.
Ive ordered the damping mount and stem/ handle bar bolt mount, it doesnt fit. Bolt is wrong size, so far quadlock have been helpful, responded very quickly. But thats my fault for ordering the wrong product. The case for my phone is too small, so that will be going back. Ive found they do a wireless charger that doesnt need usb connections, looks like can be wired into a switched live or thunder box etc
I have the same in tan, had them for 3 years, brilliant boots. I wear mine all the time too, scratching around or touring. I use walking gaiters with mine if it rains, helps when your waterproof over trousers ride up.
This should never happen, why do BMW think they can use their customers for testing when they have the facilities to actually test the bikes themselves but they rush them to market expect customers to pay over the odds and then they are expected to report all the faults BMW should have detected during testing. The new 1300 is just as bad.
That’s a fair point. I guess some of these faults, especially the shaft drive issue only become noticeable after years of riding combined with the slow ingress of water.
As I am thinking to buy this type of machine I found your vids very helpful and honest. Just to be picky about the sound, maybe try to place the microphone on your neck or take off your jacket as we can ear rubs when you move on your seat. Thank you Billy.
