Not just fun, but a sport that has grown up out of essential training for our surf lifesavers. Team compete against themselves and others at a local, state and national level. But the real goal isnt to win or be the best, it's to train hard and learn to get so good at handling the rescue boat, reading the water and performing the rescue that to go out there and save a life is just like another training run.
So do you have people on patrol that stand in the water all day holding the duck in case they have to do a rescue?? The sport really has lost it’s way. The real goal is to win an Aussie gold not for rescuing people
