If you mean powering the Netbell-2, then no, if you use PoE, don`t use additional power. You may use any RJ 45, just make sure your switch meets IEEE 802.1af POE standard
Do you still stand behind this product? I'm looking at one online now - would you advise not getting it or is this still a good product for the money? I found that there is limited information on this model solar generator - I'm wondering if it is something reliable and something worth adding to an online store I am building
Alex Ansary Sorry, this item has been discontinued. One thing I would like to remind you is, be carefully when you purchase a unit from China, their quality is really very poor. We purchased a couple of samples from China before we started building this system, we opened the unit and found the quality too low to be sold in US market.
Linortek Thank you very much for the reply - I got that feeling - So you specialize in rebuilding these or making them? I saw your video on recommended battery changes from Lithium to another kind and that was helpful information - What links or websites would you recommend for me to look at to study how this process works? Thank you for the information - I will look at some of the DIY videos on youtube as well on larger style units for the home
Alex Ansary Two years ago when we started to build a business, we looked into the solar power generator. Then we designed and developed this OTG unit. We did a lot of research and we wanted to provide a high quality unit for the market (we did purchase some of the products in the market at that time to compare with and estimate where we should go). That's why I suggested you to be careful of Chinese ones. About the battery, we have a file explaining why we used SLA instead of Lithium, here is the file link: www.linortek.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Why-SLA.pdf, you might be able to get some idea about this type of issue for building a solar system. As we have switched our product line, we decided to discontinue the solar generator product. But we still have some parts available to assembly a high quality unit like what we built. If you are interested in DIY, you can contact us for buying those parts at a good price. Here is the product manual for our OTG 15W solar generator, you can see the function of our system compared with the ones in the market: www.linortek.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/OTG-15W-Manual-Bd.pdf
Hi Vintowers, Thank you for sharing our OTG15W video with your friends. Our OTG15W Portable Solar Power Generator provides a maximum of 150 watts for an hour or so.
