Im on a mission myself to organize and make sense of it all. i went to learn where the bar is at and what oppurtunity are left untapped or available to the ambitious barber! ill be posting haircut tutorials, advice based on my experience, research ive done myself, product reviews, and maybe interviews on barber who are seeing success! i believe the barber industry can provide the lifestyle we dream of. ive been cutting almost 6 years now and its something i love! ill share my journey with you 1 video at a time! i am the co-owner of headlines barber shop in Tampa, FL. if you are in the Tampa Bay area feel free to visit one of our locations and book you appointment by downloading the "headlines barbers" app! follow me @bossiocuts
What’s crazy is someone hmu and assumed that I was a part of the mentors of The 6fb mentors , I would never take Credit for anything that is not true, but my response was this, I am not a mentor or even in the 6fb program but just seeing what bossio was doing on the computer alone is impressive and I personally lack in that regard so just that alone I said I would be interested in the mentorship simply because of that, people are reluctant to act because for some reason people value tangible things over a business NFT of sorts.
I’m proud of you Bossio. I’ve watched you grow so much over the years. You put in time and resources to get better as a barber and business man. The lessons you learned are very valuable and the coaching you provide will help a lot of barbers expedite their own success.
I grew up in Los Angeles CA, most of our residential areas was built in the 30's-80's and we didnt have many features in our home growing up. So my first time moving into my dorm in college, our dorm had a dish washer. I remember calling my mom and telling her about it. And my roommate was looking at me like i was a dinosaur. He then asked me why am i so happy. I told him i never had a machine that washes my dishes for me. When i tell you. I took over that chore with passion just super excited everytime to use it.
Being a Licensed Barber is a career that you can build a life upon and to support a family. This video makes it seem like it’s a HUSTLE, if that’s why you enter the game more power to you. Yes I do make six figures…
With all due respect, you’re kidding right? When the majority of barbers show nothing for income, don’t save a dime, poor credit, always making cash under the table.. and this video made you say we making barber seem like a hustle. a 23 year old who has P&Ls and a tax return, bought investment property and owns his own shop. That’s called treating it like a real profession and career you can show something for, provide for your family, and do for you community… not just with free haircuts but actually do something because you have the resources to do it.
@@Bossiocuts don’t get me wrong, I get that it’s about motivating barbers! The relationships I’ve built and the lessons I’ve learned in 15yrs (for me) is worth more than all the money I’ve made. You do touch on those topics on other videos I’ll admit. No disrespect taken, you’ve definitely made an impact in the industry 🫡
@@Bossiocuts this a prime of what I meant in my earlier comment . For some reasons some barbers see another trying to maximize profits as betraying the craft or something . I’ve never seen this before in any other career . My guess is because we build very personal relationships with the customers people it feels like a conflict of interest trying to get rich off of them .
It’s a broken mentality in our industry that keeps us disrespected by society. People outside the industry feel bad for us and say we don’t have a “real” career. I hope all my clients get rich and if I’m part of how they did it I’ll celebrate it even more.
I seen that comment and all i said to myself was "ya must not know how busy Headlines barbershops are lol and if you ever met Bossio he's not a capper or the people he works with or his student" Just because the market you in may not produce those numbers it don't mean a barber in Tampa is not doing those numbers lol , Them shops be busy every day of the week !!
I’m glad I found you bro. I just started and you motivated me to aim high . I stopped telling people my goals because they shoot them down so fast . I realized that a new barber aiming for a million dollars telling a 20 yr vet who’s only clearing 40-50k sounds impossible so I keep it to myself . Glad I found the right mentor
I’ve been using Square appointments for a long time but unfortunately they have launched a new thing recently called “Square Go” it’s another app that clients can download and it promotes other barbers in your area 🙄 it’s completely optional to enable right now so if you don’t want to be on it you don’t have to. But who knows for how long it will be optional for… I’ve been doing research trying to find something new that I can have my whole shop on integrated with our website.
Another 🚩 for me is when certain booking apps charge YOUR customers fees when they want to pre pay for their appointment. Some apps force clients into pre paying just so they can collect a fee from them. And that’s after they collect their $100+ monthly payment from you.
I’m killing it with my Google reviews right now. I’m the most reviewed Barber at the shop. I’m in, but these are some really good gyms you’re dropping. Thank you.
Nothing will ever beat 2 simple things, one, word of mouth like bossio said, and staying consistent, you can be the best barber in the game, but without catering to your clients needs, beside the cut, do you have clean tools? Do you have the right mindset to speak with a diverse range of people, reading your client, assume what they are thinking, I personally struggle with actually doing too good of a job, as crazy as it sounds I am always trying to do my best, my personal best is sometimes actually a liability, if you doubt yourself, you will end up getting caught in a IG mentality, but the truth is that most people don’t see the difference in super blazed fades and tapers to a sharp clean cut, the clients are looking more for the style then the fade work, I would suggest learning as much as possible with shears and style work use dryers and multiple products and offer those same products for sale, you use it, it sells itself, they even ask me for the tomb45 shave gel, and the pure powder, we like I always say are service providers, you can get caught up in trying too hard and actually screwing your clients by holding them hostage!
Most booking apps are not really in the best interest of the barbers, It’s basically self destructive to ANY liability as a human being can have, they just force you to stay within their boundaries, the moment you are not around, for any reason, like your 4th reason is effecting me personally, but I have a solution.
You can actually design a site that your clients book within, Chris was going to launch pie booking and it didn’t take off but if it did I would think that it would not “pump out” the clients you built god forbid something happened to you for a few months and before you know it what you worked years on the booking app makes it worse by promoting other barbers not in your shop, wouldn’t you rather see your client at least stay in your shop? The bigger known the app the more barbers are using it, they find the next guy in your area.
i would recommend get squire, its expensive but worth it in my opinion. you can do all those things he’s talking about even email campaigns and client list exports
Loved this insight. As a new barber I just went with what’s working for orders without really thinking about it. I’d like to know what booking site or whatever you use to book appointments
Facts you just need to buy my course and then once you learn the valuable information in it you’ll just need to recruit 5 others to also join the course and you’ll be on your way to making millions!
Bro I was literally thinking about this type of content and how it has never been done! Can’t think of a better person to start and build other than bossio and company! Excited to see this grow!
