Midwest Traditions is the channel for you if you like hunting, fishing, trapping and keeping it old school! Harvesting wild game is an age old tradition that needs to continue to be passed on for generations.
Ive done a few free dives myself, im no pro but how you handled that shot and the cat could have gotten you hurt. The shot placement hitting the tail area wasnt ideal but you managed to deal with it.
Absolutely! I would start by getting a basic fishing pole, some small panfish hooks and some bobbers. Use earthworms for bait. Get a feel for fishing by catching bluegill and progress from there. I have lots of fishing videos on my channel and I generally try to teach as I record. Thanks for watching!
Holy cow! I fished your area once back in 1993 and caught one 58 pounder the last day of a week long stay......I must have made literally 5000 casts and about wore myself out, and I was young then! These live scopes sure make it easier to locate fish. Thanks for the video.
@janmorse6948 thanks for checking out the channel! Yes, they make it very easy to get fish. I honestly have mixed emotions on them... but I figure it's Missouri Conservation's Place to decide legalities, not mine. I will say that it is really fun!
@@midwesttraditions4375 seems like you should have caught several more including females if they’re getting ready to spawn there. I find jigging is more effective than dragging…
@@midwesttraditions4375 males milk during pre and post spawn. I’ve caught males that were milking during late January and in that river them walleyes don’t spawn generally until mid to late February.
I hope you realize what a absolutely wonderful gift that you gave your daughter. While the geodes are beautiful, the time and attention and love you lavished on your girl is priceless. 🎉❤🎉❤
Great video. Almost time to get going again! Hope this year isn't a repeat of '23. Saw way more green carp than cats. Please post up some more footage this year.
In NW Wisconsin we try to find dead elm trees but unfortunately, most elm trees have been dead and gone for a long time due to Dutch elm disease. I have had the most luck around ash trees for morels. Ash are very easy trees to find and fairly abundant around here.
That's great you caught all those fish! Don't eat any of them. That water in Lake of the Ozarks has high levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, pesticides, herbicides, possibly e-coli and PFAS's. Your local, state, and federal governments let industrial agriculture, meat processing plants, and large manufacturing plants use our waterways as open sewers because they don't care about fishermen, only how much revenue they can collect for their salaries, benefits, and retirements. Sorry.
Great job with the mini, impromptu, expedition. Every seemed to have a great time. And congrats on a beautiful syspilla. My favorite milk next to an annulata…👍🏻
Big worm and ring. Wild about that box turtle eating cactus. Didn't know that either. Nice find on the milk, always a treat. Man, you guys have more scorps than we do here in AZ. 😅
