So regarding the speech: At first he finishing the song without any noticable hiccups in his voice caused by intense emotions, then he's very public about crying (making sure everyone sees him instead of taking a moment for himself) and being emotional and apologizes for it and then switches to a well rehearsed speech showing none o barely any of those previous strong emotions. Then he proceeds to tell the crowd pacifying half-truths that don't really help anyone except make them feel better for a moment. People are not completely helpless against cancer, despression and addiction. There ARE things we can do to prevent, or deal with those terrible things. And who'd tell an entire crowd that they almost killed themselves? Regardless of his intentions, it normalizes suicide and being bombarded with these heavy subjects and this kind of news is not why people go to a concert. Also notice how he shares the news. There's no instability in his voice from emotions. He pauses at the right moments to make his words more impactful and makes sure to look around. It's public speech, not a personal and natural confession. He seems to have a history of victim consciousness and seeking sympathy is a logical response to that
wow his voice was kind of harsh at the beggining of the show and improved towards the last songs of the set, down with the sickness a great closing track.
It's a web rip of a festival live stream where the bands don't get a full soundcheck. Im not sure what you expect. And you're not hearing it the same as fans at the festival.
It’s so awesome that some of these songs are from my childhood, and to see them performing these songs with such energy makes me happy. Still all together, healthy, still got the juice!
Anyone that cares to read this- i am completely deaf. The world was put on mute over 7 years ago for me and beforehand i was a big metal head. I can still remember the screaming solos and riffs and i had goosebumps from head to toe after hooking this up to the car stereo. #happytears. Carry on 🤘🤘
