Having not seen the post and not knowing the people I would say I don’t think she is that smart or forward thinking cause she should have had that convo before the wedding or at least before they had kids. The husband too. I’m wondering if there were other words exchanged about the pros and cons of having a parent at home vs. however they are going to manage childcare and having others influence the upbringing of your kids. On the flip side I think the husband’s move was smart but I also think it speaks to his willingness to demonstrate a commitment to the success of the family as a whole.
Discussing things up front is key. Her request based on a request that he made. Obviously he's not banking on Divorce either. He made a good call. I love it for them.
She is right. He should make sure he promotes her success, as well. If he doesn’t want her to take part in the company, then maybe, he shouldn’t want to go half on children.
