this is what im doing i shift + d the body to duplicate remove unwanted pixels that are not cloth, i follow the tutorial and then i move it back to the player with it being cloth but then if i move the player it will not move with. If i join it to the player it will go invisible...
Never had this issue before personally, but what you could do is use the 2nd skin layer as the cloth layer instead of duplicating the main body mesh. btw, what rig are you using?
