Simply awesome, but with one problem. Keep everything you have in the P4, and put back in WiFi & BT. That would have been the golden ticket!!!

wait, are you telling me the arduino framework already also includes the latest updates to the esp-idf framework? for example can it use the ultra low power co-processor(ULP), i haven't found anything in the arduino-esp docs. Does that mean that i can use the esp-idf framework documentation when coding with the arduino-esp framework?

I made a couple of apps for the cardputer. It doesn't need the bootloaders. You "fill the device" with only one then and M5Launcher do it better from the SDCard which gives many apps to have "ready". My recent .bin file from Arduino IDE 1.8 is 800Kb. Arduino 2.x makes a lot of files I don't need.and I tried to load 2 from the SDCard which didn't work. Just saying. I understand some situations are better for single apps. Otherwise I enjoy the ESP32 devices I have and flash and re-flash them all. ESPNow became very useful on top of things.

circuitpython is absolutely superior in every way to micropython, using a display in circuitpython feels as amazing as the hand of god massaging all your erogenous zones at once. Getting a screen up and running in arduino or micro python can be a pain and is another thing that eats up time that you could use for features. no one wants to spend 90% of their careeer writing loads of boilerplate and 10% on the application it would be the other way around. the board api was the best idea in the world. Who ever thought of that was a genius and must really love python. they really understand what makes a python framework unique. they made amazing use of the capabilities and strong points in the python language. also It feels like all the librarys and documentation were written by the same person, the design is so consistent the style in enforced well. There arent enough good things i can say about circuitpython it makes everything else look like a complete pile of trash and i dont even buy boards anymore that do not have a circuit python image out for it. circuit python should replace micropython, micropython is for loosers. i wish there was support for 8266. every person that makes a devboard should create a circuitpython implementation. The time that you save allows you to focus on the things your trying to accomplish and it results in WAY better projects. Its so easy, i am a HUGE fan.

wow... finally a micro controller with pins, grunt, memory, FPU and a heap more. The s3 for the price made all my other MCU's relics. If the price is decent this thing will create a storm.

Really impressive. Thanks for demonstrating the reliability of Espressif's Thread based solutions with this massive-multi-device test. This helps us to convince our customers and partners that Espressif is the right partner for scaleble matter implementations based on Thread.

It does seem like a very powerful SoC, and is probably Linux capable(at least uClinux is definitly going to work), but I don't get why they don't include Wifi, Bluetooth, or any other RF peripheral. I mean sure you can always add just another ESP for that purpose, but I would have thought an integrated solution would have been more efficient.

USB+Wifi+BT+PSRAM = A tiny uClinux capable Soc! Seriously, the ESP32 S3 is very cool, and Linux runs surprisingly well! You can even use the ESP-IDF with it's FreeRTOS as backend for the drivers(so you can use Wifi, because the Wifi driver is actually closed-source and depends on FreeRTOS running).

How does FreeRTOS interact with multiple core chips? I’m guessing the task scheduler just handles it seamlessly and we don’t need to code it ourselves. I think the S3 I just got in the box3has two cores. I’m pretty sure it’s my first espressif with more than one core.
