I wish I could put this on a loop. I just bought my second one like this. I gave my other one to my son to give to a child. Can't wait for the new one to get here.
I just bought this Moozica tongue drum today on eBay, largely due to your videos playing it so skilfully and serenely. I imagine to follow and copy your sequences. However, I would welcome a video on how you approach improvisation, in particular what notions you have in mind as you play.
Thanks for your kind comments and suggestion for a video. I will think about your idea for a video on my approach to improvisation and hopefully produce something in due course. Good luck with your Tongue Drum journey. Best wishes, Dave.
Your tongue drum music is always so pleasing. I look forward to your videos. I have this same drum as well as one very similar to another one you often play on youtube. I am always left with "Gee, I would love to play as well as this gentleman." Thanks for sharing your talent and skill on these instruments.😊😊😊🎶
i have same brand tongue drum - i am so disapointed in it because i am unable to work out which note is what because it isn't labeled. Can you help please ?
H June, As you look at the drum on the video the top (12 oclock) is F4 and the bottom (6 oclock) is Ab4. left (9 oclock is F5 and right (3 oclock) is Eb 5, 10.30 is Bb5 and 1.30 is Ab5. 7.30 is C5 and 4.30 is Bb4. Hope this helps. I am away a few days at the moment but if you let me have your email address I can send you a diagram. David.
Great comparison. I am just looking for some mallets with a soft and quiet sound for relaxed playing. Your video acts as a starting point for me to figure out what to buy. Thx
@@Zavertal gotcha, but I haven’t bought any yarn mallets yet, I was just wondering if they were ok to use on a tongue drum! But I’m about to order a new drum, maybe a C 13 or 15 tone drum, so I’ll probably just said and see what kind of mallets they sent with it! Thank you so much for you responding so quickly and for the info! I really appreciate it!
I love the timpani mallets. As you say, mellow. My own favorites are felt covered rubber mallets which also produce beautiful, softer tones than the standard rubber ones that come with most drums. The Timpanis are a bit pricey compared to other types, but I may well decide to splurge at some point.
Where can I get this type of soft drum mallet? I looked on Amazon and could only find the larger ones for bass drums. I have a D minor tongue drum too.
Try Googling timpani mallets or try this one. www.gear4music.com/Drums-and-Percussion/Stagg-F38-Maple-Timpani-Mallets-Pair/1W36?origin=product-ads&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA6KWvBhAREiwAFPZM7h_9DLywcDY4YPTKzXuSPA89dxxEr0PXmA269tpBlrq3oOTWDRd5nhoC5aEQAvD_BwE Good luck.

Love the mood of this.🙂 Thank you for sharing your tongue drum talents. I have enjoyed all that I've listened to, and saved some to return and listen again. I have this same drum and another that is very similar to another one that you've uploaded videos with.🎶
This is beautiful! I love your tongue drum music! 🥰I have notifications set for release of new videos. I have this drum, mine is D minor but am aware that at least two other tunings are available through Pures music. Is yours D minor? It's a real temptation to buy the other two which are D kurd and C3 AmaRa. I have not found sound samples for either of them.🎶
Thanks for the compliments. The Moozica 14 inch drum is D minor and the other 12 inch drum is C major. Perhaps have a listen to some Handpan samples which will give you some idea of the sound for different scales (they are all a bit confusing sometimes). Good Luck.
The notifications are actually for new videos on your channel. 🙂I enjoy my drums but don't have an active channel of my own. My skills are rudimentary at best, but I do enjoy playing and practicing daily. @@Zavertal
