Thank you. It’s been a while since I installed sights on HK’s. Reference sight packaging to see compatibility though. Sorry that’s best advice I’ve got. Make sure you drift sights correct direction if installing yourself.
You can use calipers to measure difference of either side of sight if you want. That would work best if point of impact was lined up with center line of gun. Typically it is not, but sometimes it is. I usually eyeball them in close to center and adjust rear sight to point of impact.
He's punching sights in... you saw which direction the sights are to be removed/installed in... the sanding is implied by the sound of...sanding. What exactly do you guys need to see?
I ordered some meprolight sights for my USP compact. I was a bit disappointed when I opened the box. The sights look a little discolored. Not sure if this is normal. But hesitating to replace the sights now. The stock sights on my USP are shiny black. The meprolights look like a faded black.
Most likely your new sights have a different finish. Be sure to drive your sights in and out the correct direction also remove material from bottom of sight with sand paper to fit. Should only have to tap the sight to move it.
