@30 min mark. the 'fruit' of the spirit is gal 5. the fruit of ministry is God's working, not a justification or endorsement of the minister. never mistake souls won or church growth for an endorsement of the man. only God's working. saints must be measured by the 'fruit' of their life in christ... how to they express His Spirit? measured by gal 5 and 1 cor 13
30 year Christian here. You are 100% right Pastor Berzins and this was 100% the right thing to do. God gave Anderson a lot of grace, and now it is completely manifest. He is acting in desperation. It’s understandable and a sad thing. Thanks for having the courage to do this.
I would hate to give my daughter in marriage to one of these NIFB scumbags who would slap her around and abuse her while hiding behind the excuse of "spousal discipline". Pastor, thank you for pointing out that this is "no small issue". At issue is the physical safety of very young children this very moment! As I said commenting on this matter elsewhere, the kind of abuse described is the kind of abuse that leads to the death of children every day in the United States. In many cases where a child dies, the friends and neighbors lament, wishing they had done something, as they place candles, crosses and stuffed animals on the dead child's lawn. I don't ever want to wake up and read that there are candles, crosses and stuffed animals on the lawn of the Anderson home because a child has been killed. Beyond the impact on the church and whether to support or disassociate, is the issue of what people are called to do to ensure the safety of eight children in the home, two under the age of five (and thus more likely to die from child abuse.) What action can be taken by those close to the situation to protect the children? As a church leader, I am sure you have some ideas.
Pastor Anderson is more than qualified to Pastor. Who would you compare him to in the Old Testament. He's a David. 1st Timothy, is like in Peter where it says there's some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest.. unto their own destruction,.. He still has faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. Also, how are you supposed to rule your house? I bet if we knew everyone else's private life, then we could find dirt on them also. Peter was an Elder, and not always blameless. Look at John, he's bowing down before a man, in Revelation, he's not qualified either. Look at Paul, he's shaving his head, and doing circumcision to an adult.
David was never qualified to be a pastor, he had multiple wives. But we're to go down that route, David was humble and said I have sinned. Saul on the other hand was unstable and doubled down clearly a man full of pride and no self awareness. Steven Anderson is nothing without charity. All I hear is a tinkling cymbal when he preaches now.

Peter was called zealous, Saul also, you can find a verse where he was zealous for Israel. Peter wanted to be accepted by the people and the Jews, and Saul, also, feared the people he said. Peter carried the weight of the people and friends of his past, and Saul also, had his buddies. Im not doing it justice, but don't stretch forth thy hand against the LORD's anointed then, if he's Saul, or if he's a David. But, I know he's a David.

Hi Ryan, I would but there would have to be sincere repentance. As of now, he has stated multiple times that he has done nothing wrong and would not repent of anything. I would also have serious reservations about making friends with someone that was able to drop our 18 year friendship in a moment. I have honestly been praying for the man and his family every day. I am heavily grieved over everything that has been happening.

Whats actually concerning is the lack of bible in this 'sermon'. Lots of 'i didnt like' and 'i dont like' and 'i thought it was obvious'. Abundance of scripture? You mean abundance of private interpretation. Lots of 'its ridiculous' and all that emotional stuff of your opinion without bible verses. Real nice. Nice Ted Talk you had here. It's really unfortunate. Interpretations of scripture preached as if they're non negotiable is a really disappointing thing for a pastor to do.
No doubt Anderson is dishonest. I still remember when Anderson said that his Calvinist buddy Dane Johansson was an Independent Baptist. I know for a fact that he lied on Pastor Manly Perry. Pastor Major recently said in a sermon that Anderson lied on him as well.

He has lied about abusing his kids and then said well it wouldn't even be unbiblical so why should anyone believe him when all four adult kids say that they witnessed it? Look at all the pictures neither Szuzsanna nor the kids ever look happy she hates him but knows she can't divorce him because she has abused the kids as well. Wonderful sermon, with clear guidance on how we as Christians should behave. What our hearts should be filled with, and where our thoughts and self control should be. Welldone Pastor Berzins, thank you for standing with God. God is at work in all this, any many are having the heavy yoke of a man removed, so that the yolk of Christ can be worn in fullness. God is love, and in love are we to behave.
Did you not hear when he, a few times, called the transgender person a "God Hater" and a couple times a "really wicked person." He also used the slur "tranny" a few times. He chose these words deliberately. Not good. Not nice! He is talking about someone who is actually wicked, Steven Anderson, but he chooses to harshly criticize a trans person that he doesn't even know. Please take a closer look at what you see as "clear guidance" on how to behave. If you believe bullying others is it, then something is wrong. Very sad.

I appreciate pastor Berzins a great deal. This could not have been easy. I hope it gives some of the other pastors the courage to look at this honestly & do the right thing I think he framed both sides of this very well. It can be very difficult to wrap your head around this if you are someone who has benefited from pastor Anderson's work. Anderson said his issue is Pride himself. He has a sermon on contention. He said if there is lots of contention in your home it is due to pride.
Spousal & child abuse are both wicked and condemned by God. Any man that ever engages in these sinful practices is NOT qualified to be a Pastor (no striker, no brawler, blameless, loving, ruling your home well!). Matty Pants please save everyone your novice, self-righteous interpretations of scripture. The Bible says "for whom the Lord LOVETH he chaseneth, and SCOURGETH every one whom he recieveth" and "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes"... You don't decide what is and what isn't appropriate punishment, the Lord does. There's no such thing in the Bible as abuse as you guys are defining it. And you know what? Even by the world's standards Pastor Anderson has not been an abusive husband or father. If that were the case all these false allegations and calls to CPS would have produced something that resembles evidence, and they haven't even done that. Just stay in your lane, go to your lame Zionist church and quit trying to be some sort of teacher of the law and judge of other men who are much more qualified than you.
