This song has gotten me through the hardest thing in my life when my grandmother passed may 19 2020 3 days after my 29th birthday, life will never be the same. Ty zakk for bringing the chaos to solitude. RIP dime
Wish I could say the same. 8 yrs on, I've still not come to term with the death of my only child. Chaotic doesn't even begin to describe the state of my psychological condition anymore.
in the movie "Disgusting Spaceworms Eat Everyone!" I always wondered who did this song. they play it in its entirety in the film. I never made the effort to look at the music credits at the end... glad I did... finally.
I played drums on this track. I have not been in L.A. since March 1990, the band broke up in 1988, The bass player Mark White Eagle and myself went on to play in Sex & Cigarettes with Xavier for a short while before forming Pulsating Chiquita's with Nick the Greek. Mark passed away in 1990 and I lost contact with Tony Pony who wrote this song when I moved back to the east coast. Tony was a good songwriter but a horrible guitarist, we never could figure out how he pretty much accidentally cranked out the "anti solo" as we called it during the bridge. It was a coup for him. I see that Tequila "starred" in the movie, don't recognize any other names. I wonder if they just appropriated the song or if Tony actually gave permission for them to use it.
@@DeeDeeRanged Burn Like an Angel is the standout track on the whole American Gothic compilation. I just discogged the album out of old curiosity and ended up youtubing this amazing, raw track. Back in 92 my mate bought this as we were both huge Christian Death fans, but this gem is the standout track on the album and still is to this day.
