That is odd. Never seen a WMR at platform 4 either but nice to see for a change. I've seen a couple of 153s and a 2 car 196 WMR on the same platform though a couple of weeks ago
That's a long canal boat! Is it privately owned, or is it a tourist boat? There was some writing on the side, but I couldn't make out what it said. I didn't know about this amazing engineering feat. I stopped the video halfway to look it up. Wow!
When I drove down this way just south of Oswestry on my way through Llynclys I spotted what was a former level crossing but the rail tracks were still intact. I plan to have a walk down this line in the future. Does anyone know when this line was closed? All of the closed lines where I come from in Yorkshire have had their tracks ripped up and bridges demolished
Answering your question, that led to a coal yard which is now Howard Street Car park and the landing to the left is where circus animals were unloaded amongst other things.
One of them is a limited stop service, thats the first one, and the second stops at all stations. The WMR express gives a roughly half hourly service with the TfW trains.

There was a passenger train that went through Porthywaen upto Llangynog on the Tanat Valley line .My grandad used to drive it sometimes.I will be at Park Hall steam rally with my old military landrover Ambulance if the weather is ok.
