I would have seen this before coming to Dubai. Me and my husband were well educated but still suffering alot…I could imagine the struggle of daily labour
I'm seeing this video a year later, too bad, I've been in Dubai for more than 10 years now and have helped process Visas for hundreds around Africa, why am I doing it, in the year 2012 an agent in Douala made me resigned from my good Job and paid him a 2.5million Fcfa after selling off my personal items to Travel to Dubai with fake promises, I was housed on a 3-level bunk bed in a smelling room in Al Baraha for 2 months, I nearly died, long story short, I managed to secure a job in a hotel as Guest Services for a start I accepted long working hours just to have a decent place to sleep and earn less than half of the pay I had back home Just to restrategize on my next steps, quickly I noticed the silent racism coming from mostly Non Citizens like Asians and North Africans, so I always knew what to expect when I walked into any new environment, The Most painful where those unscrupulous agents exploiting Africans, it was soo bad then and still it's bad, I decided to enter the visa processing to intercept some of those visas and actually issue them correctly or to help advise people thinking about moving here, the Truth is Africans hate advice or the correct information as long as it doesn't suit their dreams and immediate needs, someone has 1 million FCFA and wants to travel inclusive of flight ticket and accommodation and expect to survive with job hunting and when you tell them it is not possible, they say they know someone who says its possible, UAE as a whole is one of the most expensive countries on earth, some of the people living in crowded bed spaces were advised about other options like having just one roommate or renting their own room by budgeting properly to be comfortable but they choose to ignore, some travel without a CV or even a computer or decent mobile to use towards their goals. We all need to act as advisors to our people in this age of information, there is a lot of Info out there but still, people choose to ignore it, if you have someone thinking of traveling out here to try their luck, do not discourage them, go online and read, know prices, ask the right questions and budget accordingly, and prepare to face discrimination in some places, but such is life, There is a thriving Cameroonian and African community out here and no one should use such videos to discourage you. On the 1st of September 2024, there wll be a General Amnesty which is meant to help people to reset back from zero, So anyone on overstay or No visa should exit for free or get a proper visa, advise the people you know are in need, its for all and free as well
The problem is not Dubai, to be honest. The problem is the agents and contacts that people liase with to come to Dubai. The first red flag is giving money to someone in order for them to give you a job. That is not in order.
the work of the church is not removed poverty.. no where in the world has the church do the work of the government there, let the church big churches and government create churches. mind you when building the church people work there, people are pastors that might be getting paid, many are their maintenance guys that will also get paid, so this also creates job like you care for. thanks

Dubai made me and broke me at the same time, I lost all my business here in Dubai. I lost all the investment I made here, back to 0 again, and starting off here isn't even easy anymore. No job, no deals... Nothing.... Just nothing.... Only God
Another problem we have is a lot of scams from our own people in agencies who scam us, I have been here for the last couple of years and maybe a little lucky but I am aware of the downfalls. Most come and are forced to prostitution als the sane agencies it’s our own people doing this to us , we are our own enemies -

Ha ha Surprised to see this on RU-vid. I live here in Tiko and am familiar with these beachfront waterways and it's even more spectacular watching all this from different angles from which we wouldn't have been in a position to witness these spectacles.

@@travelwithdrawah7066 😁😁 Well in terms of "natural" settings, the waterways are THE PRIME REFERENCE in an area primarily dominated by palm, banana , and rubber plantations..Colonial artifacts have gradually being eroded with authorities hardly lending a hand to the preservation of these facets of the town's history.
@@travelwithdrawah7066 However in keeping with other areas of interest, I don't think it would be a bad idea if we switched our focus to another town with a colonial legacy, the Beautiful resort town of Limbe, just 22 kilometers from Tiko...The town is home a beatiful coastline running across a stretch of 50 kilometers or so while skirting the base of the Cameroon's Fako mountain...Still an active one. Not to mention strange forested island just off the coastal shores

Wow, no wonder there were a lot of people at the Union metro station when I last visited Dubai. I went for a walk and I wondered why there was a lot of sitting on the grass.
You did the calculation and you already have the conclusion that its not easy then why still staying here?? I wonder nowadays people talk and complain but their body talk in another way...and this documentary has its own bias, you should have interviewed not only Africans to make it more unbias and credible
there is no dark side in dubai stop lie if you got scam from agant its not dubai falt and dont think life is ez its hard on evrey one and when you whan come you have to apply online before you com i know many africans the live good in dubai and its not based on your nationalities is about your qualification so you want to be manger and you have no dgree and if you dont like to be in dubai go back stop talking bad about other citys
