I would let it sit for 10min. Flip and let it sit for another 5min. Also try using a basting brush to make sure the bakers joy gets coated into the grooves well. Just a suggestion. Peace.
Just came out of the oven.. And I gotta say. This cake is crazy! The batter was already silky and pillowly. Followed your instructions. Going to let it cool and ice it tomorrow for the family cookout. I will say, I added French Vanilla Creamer instead of Milk or Half & Half. But thank you so much!! 🥰

beautiful...but just one tip...don`t fork the alu paper. The final visual presentation for this is great. I have been using the foil wrap system for our garden BBQ restaurant, and it doesn't present this good. Kudos!
