Hey Everyone, as an Amazon Driver I see many other drivers make mistakes which eventually lead to them being fired. On this channel I will share tips and answer questions relating to an Amazon Driver to help work more efficiently and also give advice on what to avoid doing on the road. There is a special feeling being part of a team like this and we understand one another so if you want to join me on this journey, go ahead and HIT SUBSCRIBE!
I ORGANIZE OVERFLOW BY WRITING THE NUMBER ON THE BOX WHERE ITS MORE VISIBLE. BUT DSP DRIVERS SHOULDN'T HAVE THAT MANY PACKAGES. MORE PACKAGES SHOULD BE MORE MONEY OR INCENTIVES FOR THE DRIVER
Do they route your deliveries so that they make the most sense on GPS or do they bounce you around? Or do you have to assess all of them and decide the best route?
Trying to go quicker doesn’t actually work don’t know if any other amazon drivers know this but amazon are calculating how fast your scanning parcels to swiping to finish deliveries then if you go really fast one day and think your going home early your actually screwing your self over as they’ll be increasing the amount of stops from there on or at least that’s what the amazon warehouse management staff told all the drivers at the DSP I deliver for because everyone was complaint about route sizes for the places we get sent and they said what the reason for route sizes constantly changing and said that basically (so going faster isn’t really helping yourself at all if what they said was true)
You just confirmed multiple things i was just considering doing to become better and average at this job. - Jogging back and forth - Not being a perfectionist, just getting the delivery done asap - Not always having to perfectly place packages, they can be a distance away from the front door, back door, etc. as long as you can capture it in the picture and the app accepts it - If it's difficult to get to or takes a long time to deliver the package(s), just quickly find a secure and bare minimum decent drop spot and mark it as put in secure location - Turn on the camera before even taking the Package to the spot - Just deliver, as little communication, customer service, etc as possible Thanks!!! 😂😉😀
You extremely lucky to follow that path after getting tire of OTR as a Hazmat tanker on the road the most money i have made in my entire life has ben on ebay and amazon after i a quit trucking i was pretty much done and thought about just living of my saving but when I stared to do some cleaning in my paid off house I started selling for 1 month and at the second month i was maken 400 a day, i was soo soo exited I thought i had unlock something it is really hard to explain the feelings but is a feeling you get when you win the lottery, i was maken so much money with ebay, they had to contact me and told me to get a lvl of specific price after i sold 2K in shoes in a single day they temporarily stoped my account thats when i descided to open amazon to kept a balance long story short i have only 2 managed account ebay and amazon i make 47K weekly but it comes down a lil bit after expensives and i had to hire my mom and sister to help me deliver my package, I make so much i pay them 30 an hour, I also moved out to a new house and my old house is rented maken me extra passive income
From a dsp manager: do not run and try to get done faster. Safety is more important while you’re out there. Unfamiliar ground at times. And roads. Be safe. Not just your life. Others too. Packages will get delivered. That’s why we have flex drivers. So don’t try to run and be extra fast
21:35 yeah, in your app you have the ability to send an auto text to the customer. Use that to alert the customer that their package(s) have arrived plus they will/should get the notification from Amazon via email (by phone or computer) that their package was delivered along with the picture you took of where the package was left. I too in the begining was ringing the doorbell after I drop from habit of when I was with FEDEX but I had to break that habit.
I have my schedule set up to where 90% of my routes I get everyday are homes. So far I've been with Amazon for 3 weeks and I've only delivered to apartments 2 routes out of the 11 days I've been working. Just to clarify, my schedule is T-T-S-S and my days off are M-W-F
They need to get rid of Amazon because you people are just in the way everyday. You mess up the flow of traffic in these apartment complexes delivering packages that weigh less than 5 lbs. Im sick of you people.
How do they determine your route/stops in comparison to your packages? You have 185 stops and 300 pkgs to deliver sounds like critical moment? Why does dispatch get on drivers so he’d for? Thinking about applying for as driver but I’m not looking to getting in trouble for being 1 or 2 stops down, I just wanna get the job done and get home with no hassle!
Great video. I got sacked after 3 weeks because I wasn't fast enough. I didn't get the help and support that I needed even though I was getting faster.
Hi Nate, Glad to see you’re back, you probably don’t remember me. I quit Amazon too, I’m never going back, got a job else where and been doing good. Hope all is well and see you in your next videos.
I left Amazon a few months ago because they closed my station and kept changing the app to be worse for drivers. I've been playing pickleball in my down time while figuring out what is next.
I mean this is kinda contrary to the whole selling the business thing, but some videos about your revenue/profit from the smoke shop would probably pop off on RU-vid
I was planning on making a video on that but i wanted to wait until i was out. I’d also go into more detail on what my day to day operations looked like and also the legal challenges we faced. It’ll definitely be a fun video to make.
People tell you their low points and find quick happiness in your product. I know its cliche but giving them a positive experience along with whatever you sell goes a long way. Keep up the hustle!
With your overflow, do you put the boxes in alphabetical order? Like A's up front & E's in the back? I lasted a day & a half. I was so overwhelmed, but i wasn't to try again.
I recently started working through amazon as a Driver and Ramadan is starting in 2 weeks. Any advice on how to keep the fast with the lack of water? Do you get dehydrated? Do you feel like you’re about to die while on your routes? Anything helps! Thanks!
Bro wtf? You jog & sprint during the first couple hours?! What are you on, coke? Energy drinks, caffeine pills? You gotta be realistic. Not everybody is conditioned for that type of shit.
I'm 3 weeks in. I prefer driver aid number because unlike when I use to work for FEDEX you never know which route you're gonna be on within the specific area your DSP has assigned to them. Now as far as addresses there is something I do as far as keeping a log of certain addresses that I have to do specific things for like for example. I have the basic address (e.g. "Arlington Ave , or Windbreaker") then beside that I write myself a note stating, "need to get keys from leasing office to enter the apt complexes, COMPLETE BEFORE 5PM) Or another example would be if a certain home address or business wants me to leave the package with a neighbor everytime I'm delivering I have that address in my notepad. I know, I know eventually you will end up with a lot of addresses in your notepad but repetitive delivering everyday will have you eventually remembering a lot of places. Not specifically by name or address so to speak but when you pull up to them it will trigger your brain to remember things from your notes.
I applied to Amazon but I got a little scare when the guy said normal day is around 300 stops. So I got a job at FedEx 😂 no more than 170 stops normal day but the holidays are coming and I know it’s going to be wild 😂
