I’ve been in many fights before on nights out, it can be as minor as looking at someone in the wrong way, saying something out of turn that can cause someone to suddenly flip or accidentally bumping into someone. Banning glasses on nights out isn’t the answer, it’s a tiny minority of people who get attacked with glass on a night out. Chastising normal people for the wrongdoing of the very few scumbags who do use glass as a weapon isn’t something people will get behind. I personally don’t go to places where the dick heads hang around - nightclubs and late night bars.

Like Richard said, he was bigger and stronger and there was nothing stopping him from leaving. He has to take some responsibilty (not blame) for his own choices because that was where the solution lay. I suspect many women are not bigger or stronger and in tougher positions to get out of, but they too must find a way.
I listened in to Love Songs with Michael Ball, and I enjoyed listening to him and his playlist. I don’t see him as a replacement for but rather a reincarnation of Steve Wright. Both have kindness, humor, excellent conversation and great smile. It’s indeed in safe hands and bless him for honor the late legend himself.
