I’m Roxie. On my sweets channel, you'll find wonderful dessert recipes and decorating tutorials. I love to create cute cakes, bakes, and recipes (including Asian desserts). On this channel, I share step by step, tutorial style videos that I hope provide inspiration. Inspiration: sheet cakes, cupcakes, round cakes, recipes and other treats.
I learned to decorate, in 2017, as a creative outlet (a lot of us know how stressful school &/+ work is 🤪) and posting videos here in 2019 because I’ve had a hard time finding classes that could provide more inspiration outside of drip cakes (nothing against drip cakes) but that didn’t need professional levels of experience (crazy, I know). I’ve learned a lot and now want to share decorating tips and recipes.
P.S. I’m still learning how to use this so if you have baking or decorating questions that are timely, follow me on Instagram @roxstarbakes & DM me questions⭐️
I loved the idea that the blue is a softer hue than the dark blue. The overall look of your design is the best one I've seen yet. I would figure out a way not to use a black base for the head. Biting into black buttercream might be quite messy for kids. Maybe a white base and black fondant interior for the mouth. Love the idea of the cookie surprise inside the cupcake too. Very creative!
Thank you for this amazing review! I’ve been holding out buying these cuz I’m in Canada and they cost way more plus shipping, but lately I’ve been so frustrated with the gel based colours and not being able to achieve the shades I want. These seem so good and will prob save me much more time than having to mix multiple colours to get a certain shade
I understand that my voice might not be to your liking, but there's no need for unkindness. Let's focus on constructive communication rather than personal attacks.
Bonjour. J'ai vu que vous aviez partagé la recette des pops cake au chocolat , serait il possible de,avoir la recette nature sans chocolat , j'ai acheter le moule je voudrais la tester 😊 merci beaucoup 🥰
Why is mine sooo sticky on the surface and how come when you poured the mixture into the glass container you don’t have a layer of foam from the boiled sugar? I think the layer of foam is what makes the top so sticky for me.
I was going to buy ColorMill because I thought the oil base meant it can be used with anything so I wouldn’t need a separate set for chocolate/buttercream and everything else. But now Color Mill released a water based line and says that oil based colors don’t work with some things like macarons, royal icing, meringue, jelly, beverages and fondant. Knowing this, which brand would you choose for these types of water based projects? I think the new Color Mill Aqua line should be reviewed with the other colors in this video and maybe compare the oil based Color Mill that you used in this video with Americolor and Chefmaster Candy colors…so it’s oil based candy colors together and water based standard colors together. Thanks.
This is amazing! Thank you for sharing. I plan to make it for my son’s birthday. When you carve the rocket shape, is the cake frozen? If so, how long do use freeze it for before carving it?
Those candies look so yum ! I run into your post on Instagram and wanted to check the written recipe on your blog too but looks like the link doesn't work, neither here nor in your insta.
Could you please tell me the recipe for the cake mixture? I live in France so have no idea what a pound cake is. Also, how long do you cook it for and at what temperature? Grateful for your reply.
