Thanks for the video dude, very detailed and informative i just passed my test on Monday, but just so people know, its definitely not the same everywhere, so the must check other K53 videos to get an idea of the differences, but otherwise helmet mounted cameras are the way to go to know exactly what needs to be done

I agree with Martin, however when it comes to motorcycle safety, I have learnt not to centre line pass a truck and another vehicle. Unfortunately the sad reality is that most drivers, especially those, do not check their mirrors. I had so many close calls with people on the phone and cutting me off..... but you kept cool and I'm glad your alright. As bikers we need to think about other drivers next moves and calculate constantly....

Hi today i had my test and i failed, In your vedio in 2:25 you said you failed ot two times and you just managed it , do you mean by that in the same day and gave you and other chance or you booked twice , because today i touched the line and he told me i failed he didn't gave me any other chance to do ot again :(

Both parties were taking chances, in my opinion. Even though drivers of vehicles should always always always check their mirrors and blind spots as THE "last actions right before turning the steering wheel", in my opinion, i reckon the law would say the bike is in the wrong since (1) the action to overtake was performed within the intersection (2) not more than 1 vehicle is allowed to travel side by side within the same lane (3) a vehicle may not straddle the lanes. However I reckon as well that the car was in the wrong too since (1) the car was not yet clear of the intersection at the moment the driver executed his action to change lanes (one is not allowed to change lanes within an intersection) (2) the driver of the car did not allow for sufficient distance between his car and the truck, so as to enter safely into the lane once ahead of the truck (he was pretty much gonna cut close in front of the truck). (3) The driver of the car did not signal his intent to change lanes using his indicator. I drive a car and ride a bike and have come close a few times in both.

A very late reply coming up ;). I'm planning on getting my first bike some time this year and as a future rider all I would want to hear is I'm sorry. That's all I would personally need to hear. I have to be honest and say I do watch all the various motorvloggers out there, some I just plain refuse to follow (Anger management needed folks) and some I do follow like DanDanTheFireman. His stuff is usually quite educational and as a future rider I want to learn as much as i can from both those with knowledge and the idiots on the roads ie learn not what to do, wear, what to avoid etc. Anyway, if you have any suggestions on a first bike for a short ass female any suggestions would be welcome. With a standard motorbike with every pull off you do a 360 view, 1st gear, 360 view and go. If you go with an automatic how does this work - 360 and pull off immediately?

Hi Martin, just a quick question. . Doing my test on Tuesday , also using a bigger bike as i'm much more comfortable on it. Just wanted to ask if you have keep off that curved line prior to making your first turn during the left turn exercise. My instructor says you cant touch it but just wanted to get another opinion. My biggest peev on the roads is when you try to greet another biker coming towards you and they just blatantly ignore you or just stare at you like you mental. Call me old fashioned but i still try to maintain the old code of respect amongst bikers, no matter what you ride.

You're exactly right. The big name MV's are out for one thing and one thing only. Views and Subs. The more titillating the content, the more views and subs they get. Personally I'm going to take a totally different approach. Here in Florida where I live Mobile Phone use while driving has become pandemic and I'm using my resources for the political aspect of this problem. 1. Awareness 2. Enactment of more stringent laws 3. Education. I'm doing a bit of a social experiment using my helmet cam as a weapon. If more and more riders would simply pull up and take a brief video of people using mobile phones illegally it will make those people more aware of riders. Sort of a Pavlov's dog experiment. Twitspotting (texting whilst in traffic) is an excellent place to upload. I don't care about subs, views or money. I just want idiots with mobile phones to put them down when they drive.

Damn! That was the typical "cagers fault". Here an accident like that almost always involves the cager on his mobile phone. Very nice KTM BTW. Obviously a model we don't see for sale in the US.
