I was born in North Jersey (Paterson) and lived in the area around the Passaic River until the early/mid 70s... Even then when both the bridge and freight line were still occasionally used by the Erie Lackawana Railtoad, the NX was usually more in the raised position than down, as that particular line only served a few factories until the last of them ceased operations in 1976... After that, the line service was discontinued by its new owner Conrail (later CSX), and the bridge was shut down and locked in its current open position... Nice drone footage, by the way...
