I have a uht j1414 Montgomery wards, my issue is that the presser foot is stuck down I can't lift it . Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks for ur time.
What are the cutting mats you used? I have the regular Gemimi. I sometimes use magnetic vent covers to cut dies. All of the plates cost too much.. And the hot water and cookie sheet is tiring.
I actually use the Spellbinders GC-014 Grand Calibur Junior Base Plate, 8.5 by 6-Inch amzn.to/3VZhgr9 and one Gemini plate plus cardboard shim for all my thin dies. It does not warp my plates and way cheaper. And as for the Gemini plates, I used generic plates, 6 x 9" Die Cutting Plates Die Cutting Machine Accessaries (Clear).amzn.to/4eXYhFZ. Test this sandwich. Hope this works for you.
Thank you sooo much for all the information. I always try to do my tune ups on my machines. Question: Why is it that we shouldn't use oil on the gears? Thank you in advance for your awesome Help. Greetings from Bakersfield,California 😊
Thank you for sharing this wonderful information about this sewing machine. My truest best friend gave me her mother's sewing machine and her mother has passing to be with the heavenly Father. And I had no idea how to thread this machine until I typed in the model number and I showed me the video. Once again thank you for Susie Williams from Cuero Texas.
Man do I love the internet and RU-vid. 😆 I knew I had one of these things and I never used it because it never worked properly. With all the "stamping wheels" coming to the market I thought this would produce a similar result. Thank you for this oldie but goodie. I will have to try this out to see if my assumption is correct.
Hi on the Gemini I have several other plates. A white one and rubber mat, don’t you use them with your dies and embossing? I might try self healing mats because the cutting plates bow easily and are expensive. Thanks though.xx
I hope to make some of these soon. Thank you for all the work you put into this video. You did an excellent job. Yes, there is always a right and wrong side of the fabric. I used to work in a garment factory and learned how to know the difference. Yes it is VERY hard to tell so most people don’t need to worry about it, but if you look at both sides in a well lit area you can see it. The right side is on the bolt, so i make an X on the wrong side,so I can keep it correct. You can use a stiletto at 50:40 to help tuck the towel in.
Thank you so much for sharing your tutorial, I made my very first one it turned out so well, of course I am going to make more for gifts. I only watched your video twice and it came out great.
The best thing I learned in a long long time. I have been buying the little round discs. There aren't very many in a package. They are just too pricey. This is awesome. Thank you.
I've watched at least 10 or more tutorials on the tissue holder, this is the best. No excessive talking, very quick, informative and helpful. I too would sew assembly line. I like that you did that. It's all about efficiency for me. They are so cute. Thank you
I have this very model and need to replace the large belt. Would you be able to give me any info on that at this time. I know this video was made some time ago, so I'm shooting in the dark maybe. I need to know how to do it and would buying from a site that supposedly shows the exact belts for this model be a good idea? My concern is that they have been sitting on a shelf for forty years. Thanks.
Hi there, I use this site, www.sewingpartsonline.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAvJarBhA1EiwAGgZl0GP1rS-w2KzxVECCMeTypxt9W4dfQXq6hg0k1rs0QziqEABAKNwxnBoCQ_EQAvD_BwE, to get parts for my sewing machines. They also are very helpful with answering questions. Hope this helps.
I bought the glimmer machine after watching your video. I am hoping I can use it with my go power and emboss machine. It’s coming today. I have a sizzix sidekick I can use if not but I really want the electric machine to work.
I love your video. Really empowers people. Do you deal with the bobbin winder? I need help. I replaced the tire but the winder does not turn when engaged
