• Rick, what I am doing is mounting the wireless receivers up on a T-bar commonly used for DJ lights, etc. The ten foot height seems to be optimal and helps prevent a lot of drop signal situations as you can imagine.
Hi, I've watched quite a few of your videos. We are looking for a versatile sound system for a range of activities. Mainly MCing at events and functions outdoors for groups between 100-300 people. We want to spend under ~$2500. I was wondering if you would recommend buying 3x maui 5's to link together for the larger events that way we have the ability to place them around the event for more coverage over 1 LD Systems Maui 44. Cheers,
Where did you get your power and how many extension cords did you have to run on how many circuits. What distance and what gauge of extension cord (10 or 12) did you have to use?
Got a dbx pa2 setting gain structure shouldn’t it be left at +4db if your using balanced Xlr outputs, Using mine with a 900nsx2 mixer. Got one because of your video.
i bought the behringer 18inch sub and it was terrible no real power or bottom end and was boomy/heavy/bukly you get what you pay for this goes for their speakers as well
Can you please give us some links (even from your Amazon storefront) for some clamps and magnets for these that would fit that hole? I have a couple events coming up I could use them for but it would depend on finding the mounts.
Glad RU-vid recommended this video. I was using the same Alto system last night. Kept cutting out. Not because of the distance. The power cable is not shielded properly. And any little breeze and made it swing one way or another would block the signal
So , the speakers are drawing about 100 wats each at high level? Probably 18 sub draws litlle more.. On how many power consumption in your specs are rated your speakers?
Thanks for the great Videos!!! Those smaller compact Wash/ beam movers are fine for the gravity stands…I would be concerned if you had the larger movers since they extend further out from center and generate more torque. I do need to pick up some gravity stands for a cleaner look. The tripods are too bulky and pose a trip hazard. After the 3rd time assembling the adjustable Rockville totems I just leave them together.
@DJRickWeb, are Both lighting going to do diferent lenses like the competition? because with that you can totally use the cans... sorry the chroma cannons as regular uprights instead of just accent lighting.
Sick!!! Question.... Do small lights like this get stolen from events or get kicked or played with? Just wondering what anyone has experienced? But its Sweet!
Well as you said, if you had an RCF 18' sub that goes with the set we whouldn't even get them in the same video with the others...Although you should have evox12 instead of nlx24 and some Db Technologies in this video
Cool stuf! If there’s ever a second revision of this, a black circuit board cost the same as a green circuit board with most PCBA assembly companies in China. Would definitely look more discrete and neater than the green one in my opinion
On a side note LD has only ever sent me this speaker. We have bought over 20k of there speakers because they are the best column arrays on the market for events right now.
These would be great with the right adapter / stand to pin spot wedding cakes. Also if you put 2 or 3 together but in different color groups and beam angles you could color mix them to get varied color washes for an elegant look on flat or textured surfaces like rock walls.
Kinda just want these for my residence lol. I think they would make really nice smart lighting, because a lot of the stuff on the market is either overpriced or of bad value.
I have both the IR4s and ape lights cans, coins & sticks. While I like the IR4s the colour mixing, ease of use and musik mode is no where near the Ape light quality. But of course then there’s the price difference. These are bang on for the money and will do well along with the IR4’s. 👍
These are fantastic for accentuating. For instance, I use them to flank the "Sweetheart Table" and Cake table. The different "V" look really highlights those areas. Then I place them between every OTHER standard uplight just for a visual difference. ;-)
