Naruto's plot and characters are consistently good/great but the pacing will be an issue throughtout the series. Pacing will get better but will remain incosistent.
Fist of all, i would never be in this plot to begin with, cause' what motivate him in the beggining was helping emilia recover the insignia because he finds her cute, and after that he discovered that she would die in the bar , and he did all to that prevent it, that's why he died in the bar, came back time and survived, went to the mansion, died again, and again and again. And it would never happen to me cause i'm gay. It would be like, you save me thx and bye.
The character development for most characters is pretty good in this show so you wont be disappointed there. Its a long series and there are going to be occasional instances of animals getting hurt(always contextual ofcourse).
10:23 So, this got censored in the anime. They chopped Kaiza's arms off, had him hanging there for a while bleeding from his wounds, and then killed him. That's why the "You said you would protect me and the city with your two arms" hit a bit differently. They literally cut off the arms he was using to protect them.
Re:Zero was made decades after the first isekai anime. It and Konosuba were made specifically in response to the oversaturation of the trashy cookie cutter stories being made after the success of SAO. Ironically, these would lead to another resurgence of the isekai genre, which includes all the shows you mentioned, and all the new derivative trash that followed.
Don't think I've seen a show draw so many people in with a Stage Performance! Oshi no Ko is truly knocking this arc out the park, looking forward to the rest of the season :) Also, Poor Larry, forever Misunderstood.
People say Larry changed now that she met Aqua and Ruby… I tell them bitch no she hasn’t she’s just as bad as when she was a kid. She still bad mouths people, looks down on them and still takes any work she can get. She’s a trash human no sympathy for her
9:52 I know it's easy to miss given how eloquent they are for their age, but it *is* quite imortant to remember than Larry is like 5-6(!) years old here, and you really shouldn't hold an adult (or late teen) accountable for remarks they made before they even started grade school. "Current Larry" isn't really mean to anyone except Akane (she can be blunt to people, but thats not the same as being malicous or mean), and their rivalry is completely mutual, in fact, -Kana- Larry doesn't remember that she met Akane when they where kids, so from her perspective, Akane is just someone who has beef with her for reasons she cannot fathom (and then add the fact that Akane is "dating" Larrys crush just to make it even worse.) I think you have bogged down a bit in your views on Larry and more or less reduced her to a "mean girl"-sterotype, when there's so much more depth to her character. Personally I feel bad for Larry at this point. She took so many L's as a kid (exposed to the ugly realities of the showbiz-world and became completely jaded by it. Her "I hate people like you the most"-remark to Akane is because Akane reminded her of how she used to be before the adults "ruined her" views on showbiz), and she didn't even have any parents to support her, basically meaning she was alone. This affected her career and personality growing up (we've seen clear signs of inferiority complext and self-loathing these last episodes) so now she instead guides others to W's she thinks she can't have or deserve herself, like with Akane in this episode. I *really* hope Aqua and Akane can pull Larry out of the darkness next episode, because this is just depressing to see...
this is a thought-provoking comment. Cos we do think of her as a mean-girl. She very much strikes us as someone who both weaponizes words but also doesn't account for the pain they cause. She's always had a mean streak, even when we first met her. And while we have moments of her POV, we have more time in the POVs of those around her. You make a strong point that there's a lot to unpack with Kana if you sit and think about it. Being a child star is an inherently complex and loaded experience. I think it's easy for us to stop thinking about all of the facets of her life when we don't see much from her POV. I think the last time we did was before the B Komanchi performance where she was in her head. Thank you for sharing your POV in a considerate way :) We'll likely talk about this more next episode. We're not opposed to being convinced or having our opinion change with time. We feel how we feel in the moment, as we're consuming the show and material for the first time :) It's one thing for Larry to rub us the wrong way. It's another for us to think we'll hate her forever - she's a character on an arc.
That dude who spoke to Akane thinking it was Kana doesn't have any idea what he just started 😂 btw, i think at this point most people are more invested in Akane and Kana's characters more than the plot itself, me included LOL Also, this is a hot take, but even tho this ep was 10/10, please check chapters 60 (the last few pages) and 61. Imo, the "staringan" activation in the manga gave a more "sudden and scary" vibes than in here...in here you could see her opening her eyes and you feel the hype, in the manga it was OUT OF A SUDDEN and it had more of a "confrontation" vibe. Chapter 61 is just for you to check her dance acene...it was BEAUTIFULLY drawn. No worry, those chapter have no spoilers since all of it was showed this ep. Btw, this line gave me chills when i was reading and gave me chills here as well - "the sort of acting that devours everyone around me".....holy crap this is so good bro
The 4th one that Madison was trying to figure out is Kenjutsu, which is sword technique, It doesn't really get brought up as much. and Kinjutsu which is Forbidden Techniques. Kage Bushin (Shadow Clones) are Kinjutsu, because using them are dangerous to the user. They differ from standard clones because they are solid clones. The academy test was the Bushin (Clone) technique which isn't solid
Ok imma try to make this not complicated 3 main ways to fight Ninjutsu - energy spells/techniques that deal with attack, defense or healing. This the broadest range cus it has a crap ton of sub categories but for now if you see magic to actively fight, this is probably what it is. Genjutsu - easiest one to understand. illustrations, and mind games. Taijutsu - i lied this is the easiest to understand cus is just martial art. But yeah these are the three main fighting styles. There are more like kenjutsu which is sword fighting but u honestly dont need to learn bout these terms rn. Just enjoy n i hope this helps lol
3:40 I think what they wanted to convey are 3 main types of moves: Genjutsu (Casting Illusions) Taijutsu (hand to hand combat) Ninjutsu (basically every elemental spell/move you see, Solid Clones, etc.)
Larry was shit as a child actor and people say she changed… bitch no she didn’t she’s just as bad as she was when she was a child actor. If it wasn’t for Ruby begging Aqua to make her join B Komachi her ass would or retired from both acting and being an entertainer. Remember she wasn’t getting any jobs and she was about to quit
Kana? You mean Larry? LOL let is not be said we don't also acknowledge that Akane needs to work on that "radical acceptance" thing she's got going on. It's potentially problematic and really not ideal - Madison
Kana isn't relapsing. She has a clear ego and confidence , but is typically tame , and doesn't treat the staff and actors around her as servants ( like when she did when she was a kid. ) And seems a bit rude and cocky with Akane - as the show said , because they're rivals since childhood. TBF I'd give someone shit too if I entered a room, and they're immediately glaring at me with a shitty attitude lmao. Aqua clearly likes Kana, and it's teased quite a lot already. Most notably when he didn't want to show the films he starred in to Kana, but was fine with Akane seeing. But that can be interpreted many ways lol.
