I have decided I don't like this plant. I have had three. Two have died and one will not grow. Every time a leaf grows another turns yellow and it is small. It has not mattered which kind.

Thank you my 15 year old one is about 4ft with two offshoots connected. The tallest part doesn’t have green swelling growth anymore just sprouts of small spines and leaves that turn black. Yes, yellowing is normal and with a normal interval, and you should not have anything to do with it, because the plant absorbs extra nutrients from the leaves, but if the number of yellowing leaves is abnormal, you must find the cause.
My diffenbachia's new leaves are getting stuck halfway while pushing out, and when it finally does, it ends up crumpled and unable to unfurl. Anyone else facing this issue? I live in a tropical climate and it gets morning sun from a northeast facing window, only watering it when my moisture meter indicates dry. Also fertilize it once a week with a liquid fertisiler.
