Yeah just hold on to it and don’t use and show how you use it because that’s how you make people believe that your product is working. Just tell them it’s great.
Good tools. Good video. However, you have to admire the enemy...prolific, seeds endure for years, seem to kill competitors via root chemicals or competion. But, they can be defeated. Eliminate untended/ bare ground. Irrigate. Plant. Spray.
But the roots "runner" under ground, making them difficult to pull. You still need an herbicide applied a few times to get rid of the plants. You shouldn't burn them because of the running roots being a fire hazard.
I used to use one of these to roll out on wet fresh layed sod to level any lumps or hills...the ammount of times ive drug that heavy mf through muddy yards is insane we get to a house and i start rolling out the backyard theres always that 1 house that waters way to much and its literally a soup backyard my boss still makes me do it because im the lightest one and my feet dont sink though the sod this tool is one of the only tools that really ever wooped my ass 😂 its a good 1 to teach kids with i suppose but make sure its filled all the way like my boss made me do 😂 id roll out 10+ houses in 2 hours before noon would even hit i fucking loved that job lol
I finally figured it out, so goat heads are those grass thorns that grow in the south and stick to everything. This just helps pick it up. I don’t live in the south but I visit a lot and I know a lot of people that could use this!
The Goathead Roller picks up the small, thorny, painful goat head seeds and collects them into a catch basin. The best part is you never have to touch a goat head!
I don't have goatheads and have no clue as to how or why this video was recommended to me, but I now have a burning desire to purchase a goathead roller.
by the grace of the good Lord, we're only fighting sticker burrs, NOT goatheads, here on the homestead. When i was in middle school (1964-65), our school was fairly new, way out on the edge of town, and "groundskeepers" were a thing of the distant future. So, there WERE goatheads on the playground, and I quickly grew to hate them! Great tool you have there. I was hoping to see you set that pile of weeds on fire! Over the three summers since we moved out to our small town acreage place, I've used a round nose shovel to dig up hundreds, if not thousands of sticker burr plants, but I put them into the compost heap on the promise that they will be eventually turned into soil. Still digging, and plan to get a roller to help pick up the seeds.
Does this work on grassy lawns? I live in a suburb smack dab in ag country, and we get tons of these little bastards in our lawn. The number coming off our dogs, you'd swear we had a property like yours lol.
