I have been an exchange student in finlandia university from finland. I got called homophobic names by other students and even by other teachers there.
Starting the video and the intro song (Tapio Rautavaara - Talvella Talikkalan Markkinoilla) immediately mentions the town I'm currently living in. I heard Finlandia University had to close down, which is a shame. I loved the kantele group and the name of that group, the Echo of Joy. Lovely community. Cheers from Finland!
This is truly a lovely presentation for the Center, albeit not very in-depth, but a nice quality video clip and well edited. It is a comfort to know that this Center will go on and continue to do good work in spite of the financial collapse and closure of Finlandia University of 2023. The Center is not on the list of property in receivership in the bankruptcy proceedings.
It's very cool to come visit in michigan hancock. Maybe someday in future if i can get money to travell, it's expensive nowadays. Cool to see how old Finns have impacted that place in US. Greetings from Finland!
