Discipline I guess. Constant maintenance, when something breaks I don’t continue to use it or make it so it can still be used without it doing more damage to itself. For example, my Zultan’s mouth doesn’t work (cracked gear). I removed the bad gear so the motor doesn’t bind. I don’t leave my animatronics in the sun, let them get wet, or overwork them.
Hmm, probably the front cemetery because of the amount of detail I tried to put into it. Honestly I like all of them for different reasons. The theme I like the least is the “mine” tho. Hence the quotations, it doesn’t even look like a mine and I really want to improve it for future years.
It totally could use those string lights. We’ve tried them in the past but they are too bright for my liking, we wanted to get a dimmer to dim them this year but just never got to it, maybe next year hopefully.
I couldn't help but notice the overhead tents you have for the props. Do you have those for weather related reasons, making spotlighting easier or etc? By the way, any tips for dealing with a potentially rainy Halloween with animatronics?
All the things you stated is related to the reasoning. They also kinda look like little tents you’d see at a carnival. For dealing with water, I don’t have any advice because personally, if it’s raining, all my props get put inside, I try to never let them get wet.
This is super cool, if for nothing else then just to have all the props for cirque du spirit and the clown train in one place simultaneously but the setup is definitely coming along fantastic
Just a suggestion, I think you should switch the mummy and the caged beast. The mummy would ( in my opinion ) look better next to bone collector and vise versa with Barnaby and the beast. Love the haunt!
