So, I've come to think of it this way: To God, who is an immortal being, a year in our life's is like the blink of an eye. So, 6 days could have been around 5000 to 6000 years in our time. There for, what we've come to know as evolution and the time between could have been during the creation.

Excellent video chronicling the decline of Christianity into the impotent nothingness of "spirituality" and "wide religious pluralism". Long have we all known that Christian students are often seduced and lured away from the teachings of Christ "as things loved but outgrown" when they go to universities. This adds to the mountains of evidence. Not sure what Upper House is trying to do though. Are they trying to convince the world that UW is a religious institution? Or are they trying to say that it's a good thing when students discover, as John Muir did, that the Bible is at odds with... botany? Or are they merely courtiers playing the harp to sooth an institution long known for its Christian animus?
Christianity is a man made doctrine of subordination. Note that predominantly Catholic countries like Ireland, Italy, Spain, Brazil tend to have very high levels of violent crime. The root of a lot of it lies in telling children not to fight back , but ‘ turn the other cheek ‘. The Mafia, Facism, Sectarianism and terrorism flourish when good men won’t fight back . It’s no good The Pope telling the mobsters to change their ways : he needs to tell communities not to tolerate such behaviour. It’s cowardly to pontificate on what may or may not happen when we die, whilst turning a blind eye to the suffering that arises fro not facing the realities of the only one life we know for sure we have.
John boy uses the phrase i believe freely just because you believe doesn't mean it exists,has John boy made a lot of money from from the God thing and I believe this money exists but cute John boy doesn't want to discuss the money made from the God thing ,religion is a very profitable industry and a lot of people jump on the gravy train to become very rich from telling fools what they want to hear
And facts presuppose that there is truth. You cannot use science to prove the existence of truth. Unfortunately, science does not operate at a level capable of proving meta, transcendental claims as these. Therefore, we need a meta level worldview which presupposes logic, reason and truth, which in its logical conclusion leads to the ultimate presupposition of God. This is what Dr. Lennox means when he says science and God is compatible. Ultimately, one cannot do the scientific method without presupposing all of the above, and the consistency of the scientific method is only one fallible proof for God. For the sole epistemically non-circular method of knowing could only be through the Orthodox Christian God as He has revealed himself to us(divine revelation).

@@janradtke8318 Good question. That is because we cannot use the empirical scientific method to justify the scientific method. Godel's incompletely theorem is one example which proves that the consistency of math cannot be proven within itself. In the first place, the knowledge of math is at its nature apriori and that means relying on knowledge outside of sense data. Will empiricists stop relying on Math now? Now what about logic and reasoning itself? Can we ground logic using logic? Impossible. Ultimately there is no way to empirically justify these axioms, we arrive at the inevitable Ignoramus et Ignorabimus. However, we continue our lives presupposing with faith in these workings while leaving them ultimately unexamined, for how can we not? This isn't to disprove math, science or logic. Quite the opposite. Just like Lennox here, we believe that science can and *should* be done. Just without the absence of Logos and God's divine providence which upholds all of these axioms. I won't justify how we know in this one post. This is just to show the fallibilty of the scientific method in justifying itself.
Nope, many Christians die in poverty, anger, pain and wretchedness like everyone else. You have no way of knowing wether or not there is an afterlife or wether it even involves some kind of reward. That’s why you have ‘ Faith ‘ or the supposition that stories you’ve read in a book may be true. You simply don’t know . Also, be claiming that your particular God is the only ‘ way ‘, you are gloating that millions of other human beings on the planet that have worshipped another God are somehow doomed to a fate worse than death. You don’t know what you don’ t know ; to take such satisfaction in such a position is vile.
Stechris my friend, all that from my little statement. You honour me... However you haven't got enough information.. about myself or other who may even be bigots. A great scientist said recently, that whatever you believe it is assumed that if it's not up for debate and soundness then it's a problem for those who blame God for everything... because they have lost everything.. yes God gets the blame. But choices are ours.. I am happy to chat openly with you. Here or messenger.

Paul believes, Paul believes, Paul believes.....Paul's opinion, I think Paul that you should stop believing, stop giving your opinions and come back when "you" have evidence for what you believe in. Science can't prove or disprove God so good luck disproving God. What science can do however is give "good" evidence such as uhhhh I don't know creation, mathematics, laws of physics, life, morality, evil, laws of logic and of course consciousness. Don't tell the man to stop giving his opinion because by doing that your objecting to the very thing "you're" doing.
Science is the best way to understand God. When science reveals new law or discovers new cosmological aspects, it shows how poor we are in front of God. The extremely powerful, Uncaused, non contingent, Immaterial eternal being. When you ask about proof of God, that moment you are rejecting your existence and meaning of Life.
Jesus Christ of Nazareth who is The only true and triune God There is ,He the flesh and died so that you may be set free from wicked thoughts and ideas that are demonic ... pray and read the gospels and follow it , test it so you might be redeemed and set free and may enter into the kingdom of heaven by being born again / receiving a new spirit which this universe was created by God who is spirit which means he is outside of space and time and is the source of all energy . Return to The FATHER through the son and be set free by the Blood of Jesus Christ .
