Welcome to Benjamin's Bay! Here, every once in a while cool new ideas wash upon the shore. This channel is still under construction but will soon feature LEGO MOCs, gameplay and other fun content. Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks! That torso is from a gnome from a Minifigure Series. Part 973pb0849c01 (Bricklink) or named: Torso Rounded Collar, Three Gold Buttons, and Black Belt with Buckle Pattern / Red Arms / Yellow Hands
Many thanks! Not sure if I'll be making more videos though because I no longer have good video editing software. Nonetheless I built many other MOCs which can be found on reddit and the TTV website via the links below: www.reddit.com/user/BIOBAY1997 board.ttvchannel.com/u/biobay/activity/topics
Hi there! You could bypass it by asking for the bypass password by sending the seller an email (you can do this with the blue contact button at the top left corner once you are in their store). It may come at a fee or not be possible though. 1 x 1 tiles are especially hard because the smaller the brick the more time it takes to pack them. Regardless, there is also an option to disable minimum buy results when searching for bricks. When searching a brick tick the box 'No Min Purchase'. Hope this helps!
I’m so confused. I ordered a Bionicle: Toa Mahri Matoro figure, but I checked out instead doing the wishlist stuff, and I’m using Visa. I need some help, how do I pay?
You ordered it already? And if so did you receive an invoice from the seller? If not you should wait until you receive one. When it comes to payment methods: unfortunately I do not have any experience nor know anything about visa / mastercard. All I can say is consider using PayPal. Hope this helps!
That depends on the store, some stores add it, just before check-out while others don't. The best way to be sure is to ask for a shipping quote. You can do this via the contact button. Some stores allow you to cancel the order if shipping turns out to be too high. BEWARE though as not all sellers allow you to do this, which will result in negative feedback. Let me know if this helps ;)
Hi there! Just in case, shipping cost are not shown for individual items but for all of your items at once. You need to take a look at your cart in a store to find the total shipping cost. Keep in mind that not all stores mention shipping cost and that sometimes they may be higher than stated due to packaging etc. The most reliable way to find out shipping cost would be to contact the store owner and ask for a shipping quote. Hope this helps!
It is absolutely possible to have multiple wanted lists! When it comes to your cart, there will indeed be two carts when ordering from two different stores. This is because each store has their own terms and conditions and shipping cost as each store is located somewhere else. This is exactly why it is best to try and order as many bricks as possible from a single store to save on shipping cost!
I'm sorry but I need a bit more details before I can help you, what does it say? Perhaps it has something to do with a minimum buy or change of an item you need to accept before you can check out.
Hello Again. Now that I have finished chosing my bricks I want to pay. But these stores only accept paypal and we only have a MasterCard (debit). We dont want to create another account. Can we ask the store owner if they can change their form of payment? How can I pay using just a debit card and nothing else? I dont want to look for 300 pieces again!
Ai that's unfortunate, luckily there might be something you can do. First try to contact the seller via the blue contact button on the home page of their store. It is located on the upper left, right next to the store name. Should the store not be willing to accept debit cards you may want to look into PayPal anyway. Personally I was skeptical about it too but it is actually easy to use, safe and fast. In addition PayPal is accepted by almost every store out there so setting up an account now will make it much easier to buy bricks, not just now but also in the future. Speaking of future purchases, consider using the payment filter while searching for bricks. Beware though as it is definitely not very user friendly as you can't select more than one payment method at a time while searching for bricks nor can you use it when buying multiple bricks at once. Hope this helps!
Can you do a tutorial on how to do an advanced search? To find all pieces made in a specific color, for example, or all pieces for sale at a specific cost?
@@jessegros4573 Hi Jesse, I found some interesting search methods, it may not be enough to make an entire video although I will give it a try, planning to upload during the upcoming holiday ;)
@@jessegros4573 Hi there! Unfortunately my video editing software expired so It will take some time before I can edit the recordings I got. Luckily I got a link to the color guide for you: www.bricklink.com/catalogColors.asp?v=0 1) Pick a color 2) Use keywords and the other options to specify your search 3) Happy building ;)
If I buy different bricks from multiple stores at the same time across my country, will the orders come together or will they come at different times and packages? Just asking before I actualy buy from there...
Unfortunately buying from multiple stores means that you will be dependent on the sellers of those multiple stores. In other words each seller decides when to send the package. There is a small chance of packages arriving together (or at least on the same day) but that is purely coincidental, even when only buying from a single country. For this reason you might want to consider buying bricks from fewer stores. Although at first it may be more expensive, the lower amount of stores could reduce the overall cost by quite a bit.
Hi there, I did a bit of messing around and discovered that this most likely has something to do with the color, because minifigures contain several colors at once.
You might want to check out the terms first, if it doesn't say anything about picking ordered bricks up yourself it may not be possible with that seller. To be sure you can contact the seller by going to their store and then clicking the blue 'Contact' button on the upper left section, right next to the store's name.
You might as well contact them before placing an order, mainly because a lot of sellers do not like it when placed orders are cancelled as it can mess up their administration.
Hi there, if you are asked for a bypass password it often means you have not met the store's 'minimum buy' or 'average lot value'. To find the bypass password you could take a look at the 'Store terms'. Sometimes sellers will place the password there to allow you to bypass the requirements (often at the cost of a small fee). Other times sellers do not allow you to bypass in which case the only thing you can do is meet the requirements or contact the store owner and see if he or she is willing to make an exception.
I am a bit afraid... I wanted to submit an order, but I didn't was supposed to pay, so I didn't submit the order. The seller told me, that he will send me his Bank data via email if I submit my order. How can bricklink be sure that I have paid. How can I secure myself?
As far as I am aware, there is some trust needed here, just like with every online purchase. However, you can significantly reduce the risk by paying with PayPal, by reducing the total order amount or by only buying from stores with high (positive) feedback. Bricklink can't see if you've paid, regardless of the payment method you used. Just try to stick to the advice above and you should be good to go ;)
But how can I register to bricklink! I have no single chance to create an account! Why? I´m filling in all the requested information, click the "Create Account" Button but nothing happens, sa if I haven´t pressed it! There just appears a tiny loading circle inside the buttons field for a second! I´ve written an E-mail to Costumer Service but they said, that my costumer ticket was locked! What is that and how to unlock it, I mean Iß´´m not a costumer yet, how could I have a costumer ticket? Please answer, thus bricklink don´t cares about my issue!
First the bad news: I am not familiar with this problem but (now the good news) I do have some ideas that might help: 1) First, check if an account was created without you knowing it, you could use the 'Forgot password option' you may also want to try the 'Problem logging in?' button. 2) Try creating an account on Bricklink using an alternative browser or Chrome Incognito Mode. BTW: As far as I'm aware, a 'customer ticket' is something that is created when a customer (may also be someone without an account) asks support for help. I am not exactly sure why it is locked so I would recommend you to contact support once more with the same question. Hope this helps!
HELP, I have just finished adding all 550 pieces to my bricklink wanted list and when I auto select etc. It says that I have 190% of the pieces I want. I dont really know what to do to be honest. Any help would be appreciated
Hi there! I do not understand what you mean with: "...when I auto select etc.'' and "It says that I have 190% of the pieces I want." Could you specify some more? :P
So basically I press Buy all whilst on my wanted list and select the European Union and do not accepts stores with item price less than minimum buy. And then it has my Selected stores and to the right of the screen and now it says 2265/545 (415%)
Hi there, after a bit of messing around I think I found the cause for this problem. When you use the blue 'Auto Select' button to allow Bricklink to automatically search stores with the items on your wanted list, it may also add stores where the 'minimum quantity buy' exceeds your 'wanted quantity'. This means that some stores require you to buy more of an item than you need which in turn causes your percentages to go mad. A possible solution could be to 1) use the 'Easy-Buy' button or 2) Manually select the stores yourself. Hope this helps!
Thanks a lot man, I think i'm going to manually select the stores. Just one last question, when I get the tally to 100% is that certain ive got every piece i need, not something like its just got 2 more of another piece to compensate?..
Yes, you can also check this by comparing the amount of unique lots in the overview with the amount of unique lots on your wanted list (each different items counts as one unique lot). If the two numbers are equal you know you got all the items. You may also compare the item count (the total amount of items) although that will require you to add up all the quantities of your unique lots on your wanted lists. Long story short: it should work out just fine. Happy buying! ;)
You can only add items to your cart once you found them in a specific store. You can't look up a 2 x 4 brick and add it to your cart right away, you first have to select a shop where the brick is sold. Hope this helps! Let me know if I answered your question ;)
