Did it for 6 days , on the 6th I went to lunch and didn't come back 😂 If the shifts were about 5 hours it's doable and the money ain't bad - not at all actually, but thing is they give you 2 15 min breaks and the day starts at 6 in the morning and ends at 17:00
They definitely need gloves ...I use three pairs in my plant and my hands are still freezing ...there's no way I'd even touch the chicken without them...too cold!!!
These guys are skilled with knifes! so no safety gloves needed. Providining they wash there hands regularly. Machines are faster I'd argue that skilled workers are safer.
This makes no sense at all nascar driver are professionals but still wear helmets and have airbags in car just incase everyone is human mistakes will happen! This fullish thinking even masters make mistakes and stay humble because your always learning my friend.
You can even see the guy get to close to his friend with the knife plenty of times and even looking at the camera and not focusing on what he was doing with the knife with no protective equipment that is very dangerous work.
I know from experience when handling knifes it's better not to use gloves as you can feel the meat, bone, and skin, of whatever your preparing. Plastic gloves can end up being a physical contamination once you've cut through it as you can't feel the knife through the glove. Also clean hands are just as clean as clean gloves. Clean is clean. All they serve to do in a kitchen is keep messy jobs a little neater and appease people that know no better. Also the glove being on reduces your sense of touch and muscle memory therefore rendering you less efficient and more likely to hurt yourself if you are a professional. 🙏
