It begins when franz ferdinand got shot then ww1 started austria hungary declared war on serbia then germany invades luxembourg and belgium (true event)
NICE! That was really cool. I was surprised at the smoothness of the fighting parts. And the shooting arrow effect is really good too! This reminds me of stuff I used to make.
Thanks, and thanks for the suggestion. I do prefer to build my own guns with Lego parts, however...if I ever make a stop motion with Mega blocs or similar, I will definitely use custom guns (I have a halo stop motion I need to upload, for instance)
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I made this around 6 years ago, so I wasn't very aware of things like that, but I currently am trying my best to practice getting the lighting correct for future stop motions.
So for some reason this video is getting watched . . . I have a much better stop motion here if you're interested: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Cq-EvuVcoNU.html
So you need an Xacto knife or a similarly sharp razor blade. I'd also recommend laying the bow flat on a cutting board or something tough like that. You cut very carefully 6 times (if you're young, have a parent help you, it's easy to cut yourself accidentally): first cut the front of the arrow off the bow, being careful not to cut the handgrip of the bow. Second, make a cut just behind the bow's handgrip, to free the arrow from it. Then make 2 small cuts on the arrow feathers to free them from the bowstring, and be careful not to cut the bowstring. Then make a precise cut (maybe with the point of the knife) at the very back of the feathers. This cut should cut through the arrow's shaft, but again, it should not cut through the bowstring. You should be left with a bow with the very back of the arrow shaft sticking off the back of the string. Finally, cut the back of the arrow off of the string, and yet again, be very careful not to cut the string. You should have a small circle of the arrow's shaft left on the bowstring; this you can shave down to match the diameter of the bowstring. Similarly, you can shave off any excess arrow bits from the bow's handgrip. Last, take the bowstring and bend it to be straight. It will want to go back into bent position, but if you flex it enough, it should eventually stay staighter. You can glue the arrow together again just with the two main halves, or you can glue the little back piece into the middle of the shaft to help it look the same length it was in the bow. Anyways, I can help you more if you're confused, feel free to ask questions.
Can you please do more stop motions? I like your army men, especially the French. Which is actually an enemy in some sets, anyways. I will sub you and like this video :D
