Just found your channel Sheila, my mum used to make these, I’m so pleased you say ounces as well as grams,I haven’t quite moved with the times with my recipes 😊.
My last girlfriend bought me some American & Irish Rice pudding when she used to like me, but she found a richer dude, so she's gone now.... I would like to have a new girlfriend to either make or buy me some rice pudding, and if I'm lucky enough to find a lady that actually loves me, I will ask her to fix up some Britain Rice Pudding because I never tried it.
Hi! I am so glad I found your channel. I grew up in Western New York across the river from Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, CA. I had one foot in Canada and one in the U.S. all the time, it seems! My British childhood friend and I would sail across the short distance to the town where we would purchase these tarts and sit in the square to eat them. The bakery would use some almond flour and cover the tarts with a very thin coating of icing glaze rather than icing sugar. It was divine to my 9-year-old-taste buds! I think there must a high number of variations to this recipe, all loved by many. We would purchase an equal number of Canadian Butter Tarts. Your video brought back such wonderful memories! Thank you!
I fell in love with Victoria Sponge on a recent trip to England. I bought double cream just for it. Thank you for showing how to line the pan. Can't wait to make some.
@@sheilaskitchen Thank you, I purchased a tart sheet from Wrenbury and followed your technique exactly. Your videos show all of the steps so well. The tarts came out lovely and taste divine! My husband ate 3. 😳
The skins are the most nutritious part of a potato. Fair enough if you don't like the skins but they are blended in the soup so you neither taste them or have the consistency of them 🥦
That looks delicious Sheila I love peaches I could taste them I will wait until summer and then we will have beautiful Peaches golden queen in New Zealand Thank you for sharing let you know in summertime❤
It's very strange, for me, to think you are in winter; I haven't been to New Zealand or Australia. I thought this when you commented on the Rice Pudding; at the time it was sweltering hot here in England 🤣 Enjoy your peaches in the summer 👍
I am so glad I found your channel you are very calming to watch and you are so easy to follow your instructions I’ll be doing this one next week I just made a rice pudding I’ve nearly all of it what a pig I am thank you very much Greetings from New Zealand❤
Thank you so much for the recipe I’m originally from wales so I remembered rice pudding fondly my Sunday dinners with my grandmother and auntie church roast dinner followed by a rice pudding was stewed apple Yum I live in New Zealand now so I will not be able to get put in rice but I’m going to look for short grain or Italian rice or sushi rice I’ve used in the past Anyway Sheila greetings from New Zealand thank you very much❤
Hello Sheila. I'm new to your channel. I only came across it yesterday actually. This morning I made the Shrewsbury Biscuits using your recipe and they were absolutely delicious (with a nice pot of tea). My Airedale Terrier Amy also enjoyed one. I've subscribed to your channel and look forward to new videos in due course. Thank you.
Good day from "very rainy" Montreal! This is a very inspiring recipe... I always shop for grocery and produces, at a italian market almost next to my place, unfortunatly I wont find halloumi ... but will give it a try with dry salted ricotta....it is very nice for you to give the measurements for the recipe in metrics, because, it makes it so much easier to half or double a recipe! Thank you ... Have a nice week-end......
I really don't think ricotta will hold it's form in cooking. You really need a cheese that holds it's form in cooking. However if you do try it please inform me how it turned out, I'm intrigued. I do have a few other ideas of flavours to use in this bread; watch this space! 🤣
In all of the cooking videos I've ever watched only one ( yes in only one) have I ever seen anyone wash their herbs, even the ones they go and pick straight from the garden go straight into whatever they're cooking. What about all the insects crawling all over them, ugh?
Thank you for the tips Sheila 😊 Such a shame that the prices have gone up so much. I should grow my own veggies, but my garden isn’t too big. Still, I will consider getting containers for growing herbs. God gives us so much abundance 🙏🏼🙌🏼🌸 Jesus saves🙏🏽
My garden has plenty of space but I just don't have plenty of strength anymore for digging 🤣 Like you though I do intend to plant a few herbs; I want Rosemary, Dill, and Parsley as they are the main ones I cook with 🥬
