Mr. Morrison is G-d of urban combatives. I'm diving deep into his book, especially for the mental preparation and adrenal control.

The truth ! People struggle to understand this . A friend of mine was French foreign legen unarmed combat instructor. We trained hard together, and this was the mindset.

Absolutely fantastic video. I'm nlp trained but I've applied it to being a therapist and business. Now I applying it to combative! Invaluable video for those that adopt this mindset. Looking forward to 9-10th in Bristol 2023 🕉🥀💯🙌👊

Put your physiology where you want your mind to be... This so right. I term it 'tail wags the dog' i.e. instead of smiling cos you feel happy try smiling cos it makes you feel happy.

This is based in neuroscience. The way we normally think to modify the body is top down, as in we rest control of our thoughts, to then control our feelings, to then control our emotions, to then control our actions. Surprisingly, it's the reverse of that that controls the mind. Behaviors are the key to modifying thoughts and feelings. You may not want to do something, but if you do it anyway, regardless of your feelings or thoughts about it, it solidifies the behavior or the habit, which in turn connects new synaptic connections, which installs a new piece of your identity. Fighting is just another uncomfortable thing that in certain situations is something you may have to do but don't want to, for various reasons. If you do it anyway, if you embrace the scenario fully, the synapses will connect and as quickly as _in the moment_ the identity will solidify. You will become a person capable of incredible violence.

A full explanation of the consequences of not doing what you need to do when you need to do it. Your attacker gave up his right to safety when he attacked you. It's better to be tried by twelve than carried by six. Great video- thank you.

I haven't watched many of this mans videos........but I was BLOWN away with how well he put this subject over. Astonishingly good and he's certainly helped me with my mindset. I am a black belt judo, done plenty of jitsu and even trained with the cage fighting lads in Newcastle years ago. I work out daily and am in great shape, however, my mindset in a bad situation would let me down. I remember being in a big shouty argument with a big bully client at work once.....stood my ground and maintained composure, but fuck me.....why were my legs shaking!! Adrenalin I guess. I would have beaten him even though he was bigger and younger than me, but those moments leading up to the violence are petrifying. That is why I pulled out of my judo when I got to first Dan. The stress in competitions of sitting analysing who I was fighting next was just too much....."Geez he's fast......or He's big or he's got serious tech ability etc." All too much to bear for what should have been an enjoyable sport. Anyway.....I got A LOT from this, in fact....I was in tears at several points when he was talking about loss and indignation......totally agree and get that. The "HOW FUCKING DARE YOU THINK YOU CAN TAKE ME AWAY FROM MY FAMILY" I will carry those thoughts with me going forward and if a situation EVER comes up......I will pull them out. Thank you Lee.....you rock. John Fox

Long story short.. Tenerife 5am walking back to hotel with a few girls n me. Walked into what was a perfect ambush…between a wall and a bottle bank ( blind spot) two weasel looking Eastern Europeans had just done in a six ft by six ft guy, he was laid out holding his stomach writhing slowly in pain ( stabbed) I looked at them band they looked at eachother and gestured to eachother that I was next….. I looked them in the eye and without any words my eyes told them “ oh yeh you wana Fuk with me” I showed no fear and carried on walking with back turned on purpose… I used every ounce of my wits to watch my back (the girls had no clue anything had or was happening) they were clever bastards.. anyway they followed us for a minute then left down some steps…. Moral of story show no fear n keep calm… and yes I would of attacked if I needed too. I’m only 5”5 lol its not the size of the man in the fight it’s the size of the fight in the man….. Blessed Be 💜🙏🙂

I just did the first two for around 10 min. For the first I stacked 2 pillows. I couldn't get my elbows to the floor but hung out in the position. It actually released the pain in my left shoulder. Gonna keep doing this one until I can get my elbow to the floor.

Christopher Phillips great 👍. No need to touch the floor necessarily, be patient with getting the chest to release. In most of us it’s been tight for years 😱. It truly is the King of upper body stretches

Hi So glad you liked the video. I'm new to this, so I only have 3 training videos up so far... I think if you click on the Acupuncture Queenstown link, it should take you to the channel and then you can see the other vids? Also, the kids said if you click the 'Bell" symbol, you will be notified of new vids. I'll do upper body stretch, back pain vids etc asap. Hope that helps :-)
