Nice ride i was looking at doing the old coach road as I've done it plenty of times on the motorbike and Heath has never been over it. Did you have to go on the A66 at all ?as I haven't looked at making a loop with the coach road as yet. Do you have a GPX file of your ride ?

Heres a probable explanation of the cutting back, I checked this the other day as one of the trails i ride has been really cut back fo the first time in 7 years ....by law You must not do any work which might harm nesting birds or destroy their nests. You’ll usually find nesting birds during the main nesting and breeding season from 1 March to 31 August.
your start point is literally 2 minutes from where I live , you can find all my rides on Komoot and I ride from home 99% of the time and all done on one battery
