After so many record stores in NYC closed down like Tower Records, Virgin and Fat Beats NY, Other Music helped fill that void. It was a great little shop. Catered more to Indie Rock but they had a decent amount of Indie Hip Hop in there. And they would hold records for you too. RIP

how is leather not sustainable, a shoe or belt lasts 100 years or more. plus the fertility of the ground, it's health comes from the poop so...this argument of they consume too much water is irrelevant. People would focus rather on fixing the airline industry which pollutes the most, rather than focusing on the carnivore vs vegan battle. Anyway the oil industry runs the world so we can sit here argue, the decisions are not coming from us.
Legends in their own minds but in reality just a group of young people playing dress up at night. I remember cha cha in Heaven Tuesday night. The music played was early dance, if I recall rightly. The actual music created by the scene (Spandau Ballet etc ) was dire pop without soul.
Back in the 70’s my 4th grade school teacher talked about how she went there and it sounded amazing to me. I went home from school and asked my dad if we could go there. He laughed and told me to save my money so I could go there and visit one day. I finally made it to Paris and went to the Shakespeare and Company Bookstore in 2023. It was magical. 👍😀💜

I took his book to an event to show some friends, it's the only book that I've ever seen people react so strongly to... good art that is comedic and genuinely makes you belly laugh is very rare . They were passing it around, laughing, flicking to random pages to tell joke fortunes, showing eachother how they related. The simplicity of the art and statements is what makes it universal
