emmm... you need to back up your claim, that kydex is stronger than injection molding, with hard evidence. As a former product designer and current product manager, I call B.S. Injection molding provides infinitely more flexibility in design, to reduce and reinforce stress points. Injection molding also provides the ability to use a broader range of polymers and additives, to achieve a stronger base material.
Pretty sure I’ve been sent some wrong stuff or something. It’s not lining up like this. Watched the video and the written directions If anyone has successfully made it through this nightmare install- please hit me up.
Actually, no, I can't see the thumb-release button... the lighting sucks and you don't orient the holster in a manner that it can actually be seen. I specifically watched the video because I wanted to see how your release works... I have no better understanding now, than I did before watching the video. Your website doesn't show how it works... your RU-vid video doesn't show how it works. WTF?
It looks like he was shooting a .22 caliber bullet, especially with the minimal recoil. The diameter of holes is way too small to be anything of adequate size. I guess he’s supposed to be the best from Bill Wilson and Ken Hackathorn standards though.
No kidding the LEO got to try a new/different brand of holster and he fell in love with it. I can easily guess which brand and I can probably guess the issues he was told are features not defects that he saw you guys solved on your own initiative when designing.
@rikingen100 I actually contacted customer service over at High Speed Gear and arranged to have my holster sent over and have it properly installed by them. They overnighted my holster back to me. It appears the screws the kit comes with might be too long.
@@libumathew2517 I ended up gluing the nuts with Gorilla epoxy, and installed the qls fork with no problem within a minute. Seems to be the best solution I can think of.
Are there different iterations of this holster? I’ve seen a version that has a flap that goes over the optic in addition to the hood Also, is it compatible with all rmr optics?
In a pinch, I had to buy a new concealed carry holster and got the QH size 2. In its out-of-the-package configuration, I discovered the clips were flimsy at best and kept pulling the holster out of my pants with fifty percent of my draw strokes. Not reliable. HOWEVER, the shell did acceptably retain my CZ P10 F. So I unriveted and removed the shell from the original leather backing, expanded the holes, and put it on my custom-made leather backing (that emulates an old Alien Gear config) with STIFF belt clips. I haven't had a single holster malfunction since.
I wish the automatic lock would unlock when pressing the thumb button. Guess I’ll carry the gun in the hopes I don’t have to remove it from the holster?
I've noticed some people complaining that certain holsters made for use with a light have an open gap that exposes the trigger and can become dangerous if the holster is used with a weapon without a light. If I were to use the CT3 model made for use with a weapon light on a weapon without a light would it still be safe?
I am a newbie; where can i find a video showing how to add drop offset to the international holster? I would like to see if that aids in my draw. Thanks
Sucks that you guys don't offer a covered optic version for large frame glocks. Really weird that you offer one with an uncovered optic, but none with a covered optic. I would love one of these holsters but I won't buy one until you offer a covered optic version for the glock 21/20
Will it accommodate a holster claw kit? I'm not sure of the spacing of the retension screws. For my purpose, the hole needs to be 1/4 inch, and the spacing between both holes needs to be 5/8 inch. Thank you. Your product looks great and versatile.
Hey guys. I ordered and returned this holster. It was made really well and had a very precise fit. But I just couldn't get a hang of the draw. The problem I had was that the same button is used to drop the hood and defeat the internal retention device on the ejection port. So every time I'd begin lifting the gun out of the holster, my thumb would come off the button early, and the internal retention device would reengage, locking the gun in the holster
I have the Core carrier and a few other items, the Core is not something my department would allow. It’s a great slick carrier but not something that id use for duty. Unless, there were something like a special situation that it had to be used for.
