If you find animal training, falconry, or are generally just a fan of animal related content, then keep an eye out for future videos showing the training and general life with these birds!
Set in the countryside of Derbyshire, we provide a range of bird of prey experiences for all to enjoy. Our experience sessions allow people to get a hands on, up close, encounter with the birds while flying and handling them.
We also provide flying displays to a range of events such as The British Falconry and Raptor Fair. Our aim is to provide people with an educational experience that is enjoyable and shows these magnificent birds the respect they deserve.
My dad is a falconer and has been for multiple years and he’s currently teaching me I started with a sparrow hawk but then he let me have ownership of 2 birds: turkey Vulture, African Eagle Owl
How do you start Falconry? Do you sign up to a club or something? And how much would it cost? Also, do you have any experience with snowy owls? Also, your videos are really interesting and fun to watch.
That's just amazing. This looks like exceptional progress! I don't know how long kestrels typically need to learn these behaviors, but just it looks like Igor picked up the job very quickly, which just highlights how smart birds can be. I knew corvids and parrots were smart, but I'm begining to tihnk all birds are exceptional thinkers and masters of pattern recognition. And those reflexes! I'm just really blown away here, you do good work.
I'm a Canadian and my first bird was a gyrfalcon, he's a pretty cool dude. They're not the best beginner birds, but we have a mandatory two year apprenticeship before you can own birds of prey, so by the time I was able to buy a bird I was pretty confident
Not enough room at all set up for a museum to show off rather then allow to live safely and freely.. people actually on here giving props to a guy for having birds in a space smaller then closets are just as bad.. morons everywhere..
Sounds like the Buzzard, dead body comment probably came from an American. We use Buzzard synonymously with Vulture. So he thinks you're flying Vultures out there. LMAO. Some folks are so easily confused. All he has to do is take one look at your bird and know it's NOT a Vulture.😂And by the way, I love your videos and your birds are gorgeous!
I just recently found out we have clubs here in RZA and I'm applying as wanted to do this as a kid. be a year apprenticeship before I can probably think about my 1st bird.. But I am keen and wanna do this! Hard work = Big rewards.
