As a temp, worked in the laundry room - like week two Manager left me by myself with a room full laundry(pre-covid). Didn't know if he was desperate or had unfounded confidence in me. I just handle it running multiple washers & Dryers. Timing them up together - twice forgot if I cycle a machine, would run it again. :P I the morning Mng was pleased
geezus... i've run many kitchens in my day and if i saw the state of that dish pit, i would be sending whoever did this to the dish pit for a week so they will understand how to scrape the dishes into the bin before depositing dirty dishes in the dish pit. don't disrespect the dishwasher that way... they already have a tough enough job for minimum wage.
Hobart rulez, but yours needs a good delime to let it shine once again. This can be done by throwing in a bottle of vinegar and let it wash for a while.
Omg what ever ... What ever your getting at .. probably went to the bathroom, came back to that with you on video making him look bad! Us dishwasher's are the root of the foundation... Don't come on pro me .. drop the cell and put a crate in full of dishes ... Dang gunna do all that instead of helping.. help up !
I waited tables back in the 90s and I always cleared the food off of the plates before I put them in the racks for the dishwasher. Being a dishwasher is a hard dirty job.
I hate to break it to you but every restaurant looks like this. The floors always have grime, water, trash and a little food on them. The dishes are not always 100% clean and most have some specks on them, though they are still disinfected.
@shenaniiigans where I work all the waiters toss their towels in the dishpit like they can't take it themselves then they be asking me to give them paper towels they some of the most lazy workers I know asking to hand them everything
@@justanothernarutofanbeliev9932 Ugh, that's annoying. Do you have dirty linen collection bags or bussers who can help clean and organize? Servers should be clearing, stacking, and organizing, (at least) as much as possible when they have the time - you're all a team and everyone should do their part. I hope management sees and understands.
Those waitress are wrong for that. But just Turn to the other cheek. It's better then being homeless or not working . I can't even found a dishwasher job right now been looking a mth
What restaurant did you work at where they left it nice? I have to say yours is the special one cause every other restaurant I’ve seen the waiters and busters always do this stuff
@@kel2614 The problem is the bus tub with trash and silverware all mixed together that he’ll need to spend time organizing. Any good restaurant the servers throw out the napkins and scare the excess food/put the silverware in a separate bus tub
I can’t imagine it was from one time, it probably just stacked up over time. As long as you keep up you’ll be fine. It takes a little foresight honestly because you have to plan things appropriately and make sure you are prepared for multiple outcomes, if one idea won’t work you should have a back up plan. Ultimately the hardest part is usually just trying to fit everything and not waste space cause it really adds up. The dishwasher isn’t fast, it takes like maybe 30-45 seconds for one load, if you wasted space, that one dish that you could’ve fit is added to your pile and if you keep wasting space multiple dishes are added to that pile. And by the end of the night you’re just screwed cause now everything’s coming to you.
I kno it’s helll one time a long time ago I remember the cook telling me take your break now before the waitresses come back from the dining room I said cool cook had hook it up with a fat plate then I whent in the back room I was grubbing no less then 15 min later the waitresses waiter and alll the dinning room and carts full of dishes and they had to set up for next day at least 4 foot pile of dishes we serve a retirement home that was 4 story high fuck that night I didn’t finish till midnight was supposed to be out by 7 pm
For anybody who works as a dish dog here is a tip have all the server's stack the plates by sizes (it will make it easier for the dish washer too have a flow going now its super busy that would be the only acceptable too let them stack it how they want too.
I ask nicely and inform them if they’re new, then I show them how to stack if this fails to stick then progressively raise my voice when they fail to. Or flat out just go on my break and let it stack till there’s no space. I’ve come back with 4 FoH doing what I do by myself, they catch on real quick.
@@ozpinoy i should start doing this but at the same time I know how I am (2 ears too listen and one mouth too speak) with me being fluent in sign language I'm going on a 30 day no talking strike and start using sign langue and too mess with everyone head (im fluent in ASL American sign language). (If your fluent in your mom or dad langue start doing that as well maybe they will start listening more). Too some it all up never piss off a dish washer or a line cook because they can mess your stuff up bad
@@walterstanford8162 Exactly. I'm a software engineer, but now and again i fill in for my brothers restaurant. I don't like to abuse that power so not many staff know who i am. But like you said don't abuse the dishy, they're the backbone in a restaurant.
Hardest part is to get a waiter who’ll take the time to do that 😂 a lot of them would rather just dump it than have to spend the millisecond of thinking and placing
@@Jose-wd2botrue tho, it’s literally only up from here. I can’t imagine anything worse than dishwasher besides maybe death but dying is easy, living is harder
