Getting out to other parks is awesome because you see a different point of view in every ballpark. The fans, the atmosphere, and the food! It’s all so different on the road. Food is a big part of every ballpark experience, and very city has its signature flavor or specialty.

I’ve been to over 80 ballparks, including all 30 Major League parks. I’ve been to the All Star Game, I’ve been to the World Series, I’ve been to Spring Training, and the WBC. I’ve even played at Fenway Park. (Four times.) I love the game.

This channel is primarily baseball, with a sprinkling of Metallica, some Scuba, and who knows, probably a few other random things thrown in.

Step up to the plate, and let's 'Play Ball'!

The team name reminds me of a poster on the stupidity of committees: "None of us is as dumb as all of us." The name "Wind Surge" is so dumb that only a committee could have come up with it. Pick an animal name out of a hat, and you'd beat it.

Ehhh the tailgating is more for the football side. Current location is terrible with absolutely no development around it. They really botched that. Also terrible public transit make it a nightmare if you don't own a car.

I am a 65 year old man . I was born and raised in north Philly. I would walk to Connie Mack stadium with my dad and brothers in the 60s. My buddies and I were always at the vet. I was at the first game Cole hamels pitched. And the game in 07 when the Phillies passed the Mets for first place in their division. The bank is by far very very far the greatest ball park in MLB any park. As for the food it's got the best food. I saw something about coach for Colorado Rockies. When they were in Philadelphia to play a weekend series at the bank. One of the coaches had 24 cheesesteaks over that one weekend. There's nothing like a Philly cheesesteak. But I don't think they are good for you when you eat 24 in a couple days.

Buddy, you are fucking retarded & don’t know anything about KC… Do you even know who owns BPV at Baltimore/Philly/StL…. The Cordish Companies that built Power & Light in Kansas City. Why would they build one out at Truman Sports complex on I-70 in Independence when there is one in Downtown KC right next to where they wanted to build the new stadium

The sole reason ‘Tailgate Culture’ exists is because the stadium is in a terrible location that EVERYONE has to drive to so you have to arrive early & stay late because getting in & out of the parking lot takes forever

I am a *CANADIAN* who is a die-hard Cubs fan _(Ryne Sandberg favourite all time player)_ who went to Chicago and a Cubs game for the very first time - 20 June 2024 - against the NY Mets. Sat in section 110 (first row), along the third base line. Great seats, great sight lines. Sadly, the Cubs got trashed, 11-1 in the game. Was still a thrill to see the Cubs play live in such a great venue. I even took a tour of Wrigley Field _prior_ to the game with the tour guide “Kenny” leading the way. He was fantastic. Well worth the $30 US price tag. Learned a lot about the past and present history of Wrigley Field. After the game I went into the adjacent Cubs Store and spent a small fortune in there on t-shirts and other memorabilia. Then my wife and I ate at Swift and Sons Tavern right across the street from Wrigley Field. Great food, great service too. We stayed at the old Warwick Allerton Hotel on N. Michigan Avenue. We did the “Mob Tour” too the next day. Shout out to Nora’s Restaurant on N. St. Clair Street where we ate twice … great food!! ~ We will definitely go back and see the Cubs again at Wrigley. ~ 🇨🇦 P.S. - Uber is a great way to get around. Taxi drivers can be really pushy, hence why we preferred Uber. Thank you Chicago for a wonderful time!

They used to be known as Kannapolis Intimidators (named after Dale Earnhardt, Sr.). If you’re going to be near the area, check out Fluor Field in Greenville, SC. The Greenville Drive are High-A affiliate of the Red Sox and the dimensions at Fluor Field are identical to Fenway. There’s even a green monstah and rooftop seats on the condo/office building.

I saw that in the wiki, which makes sense seeing their mascot - Who I think is really cool looking. And I'm a big fan of Fluor Field. I've been there a few times. I really like Greenville's riverwalk area too.

@@BlockingThePlate Oh yea…Falls Park and RiverWalk are pretty amazing. We used to live there (moved away in 2009) and returned last summer for the first time in a while. My how that West End has changed! If I could live anywhere that I used to live once again, it’d be Greenville. Denver is nice, but there’s just something very charming about G-Vegas.

My son and I recently went to the Coliseum for much the same reason…one last chance. We went to see the Rockies on the road, like we do nearly every summer. Talk about a contrast between our first game at Oracle park and the one at the Coliseum. The field was beautiful. The ballpark is dated, but wasn’t bad. Mount Davis was an eyesore. The sound system was oddly skewed to the right field side. There was nobody there for a day game…3-4 large groups of elementary school kids who were quite vocal carried the home crowd. The Rox choked away a win, not once, not twice, but three times and ultimately lost. Those urinals! They remind me of the ones in the old field house at CU-Boulder! 😂. Concessions were unreasonably expensive…I was told the prices were raised to pay for the staff because nobody is coming to the games. Just a sad situation all the way around.
@theadventuresoftherestedtr3518
@theadventuresoftherestedtr3518 3 месяца назад
We rode the orange line BART to the coliseum and I was, frankly, appalled by the number of people living in squalor along that line between downtown and the coliseum station. I used to feel the same way - a build a new ballpark there next door and develop the land around it…but I just don’t see how that’s feasible with such conditions and poverty. I didn’t realize this until I visited and saw it first-hand. Things aren’t much better in Vegas, mind you…

I'm honestly shocked it's still there, especially since the stadium hasn't been used in a couple of years. Crazy to think it's just been sitting there in the grass the whole time. Wait until you see the Hall of Fame plaques that are still on the wall in there. It's a real shame.
