Many years ago when I was a teen in South Jersey, my friend had one of these mopeds and did a bunch of this crap to it. I also had a moped but I didn't ride it that much since I had a license and a car. So one day he wanted to grab some food at the diner. He said he wanted to ride because he had some place to be afterwards. So I got in my car and followed him. Shortly after, I see him put on his turn signal and get on the on ramp for I-295 and I am like, "What is he doing??". This was back when the speed limit was 55 mph though. Man, he got on it and kept up with traffic and I pull next to him like what the hell and he has his body tucked down and having a great time. We got to the diner and we talked about it for an hour. You couldn't do that now. With the speed limit now at 65 mph and everyone doing close to 80 mph, no moped with crazy mods could keep up.
if u have the packing in, it will give it more back pressure which will give more top speed and acceleration. also to take out and put in baffels all u need to do is take off the U ring on the end and the cap will come out
Nope. Didn't have to do any head work. Just exhaust and carb tune. The UNI Pod does help on the A55, but you lose a lot of torque so I decided to keep the stock filter. Exhaust is the treatland sidebleed works really well. And for the value I don't think it hurts it. It might even increase value due to that it can go faster, but either way I still have all the stock parts so it's easy to go back bone stock for resell even if that's the case.
@@SlideWreckDan I think hes talking about shaving the head. This can not be undone which is why it would devalue. With motor vehicles speed doesnt matter concerning price. Price is always all about how long the vehicle will last after the purchase. Shaved heads also shorten the life of the motor like most modifications
i ran mine without one it had 135k miles and still was going strong then the magnito burned out and i could never find a new one or a aftermarket replacement for it but still 135k on a 83-84 tomos is insane
actually not really, stinger diametet and length help with power, packing only makes it more quiet but i do agree louder isnt alway better its anoying if anything
I got my streetmate r fully stock going about 30-32 against winds. I just go to people that know a lot about dirt bikes to get my performance up! Sadly I crashed and will be buying another one in december, right out of the box the dealer and i made a deal to max it out! Finally!
Is it normal for it to get low on oil every once in a while? Because my friend is selling me his 2010 Tomos Streetmate and it has 286 miles on it. He told me every once in a while you have to fill the oil up. Is that normal or is there an oil leak on it? he's asking 1200 for it and he added a Turbo muffler on it so the top speed is 45 mph. I took a test ride on it and it rode fine but I don't know much about mopeds and I just want to see what you think about this.
