I thought they were really good. I'm all about tribute bands. I'm never going to see the real thing, I'll take the next best thing. For me, it's all about nostalgia! Thank you for sharing! 😊
I have a lot of respect for "1964 The Tribute" band. Playing in a Rock band takes a lot of hard work and dedication. It appears as though these gentlemen are using three of the English Jennings/Vox Super-Beatle amps w/carriages. Not sure if solid state or tube. Those amps are not easy to get. Mark Benson, who assumes the John Lennon role, in addition to playing his Gibson model J-160E seen here, also performs with this band playing beautiful replicas of John Lennon's 1958 & 1964 versions of the Rickenbacker model 325, constructed by Mark Benson himself.
I’m lonesome since I crossed the hill and O’er the moorland valley such heavy thoughts my heart did fill since parting with my Sally. I seek no more the fine and gay for each does but remind me How swift the hours did pass away with the girl I left behind me Oh ne’er shall I forget the night, the stars were bright above me And gently lent their silvery light when I first thought she loved me But now I’m in a prison camp kind Jesus in Heaven find me And send me safely back again To the girl I left behind me My mind her form shall still retain in sleeping or in waking Until I see my love again for whom my heart is breaking If ever I shall see the day when Marshall has resigned me Forever more I’ll gladly stay with the girl I left behind me
Hey, buddy! If you're into true crime documentaries, don't miss my latest real crime documentary video! Your thoughts are essential to me, so I'm looking forward to your feedback. Take care of your health, and I hope you find the time to watch and support. Thank you; every criticism, positive or negative, is valued.
About 15-20 years ago I found that two of them were performing as a duo called “Double Down” mostly at vineyards in Virginia. The two with the beards. But haven’t found much on any of them lately. They seem to have zero internet footprint.
I saw them twice at the pub on King Street in Alexandria (Name?). Their heyday seems to be the 1980s. They’ve all but disappeared. Fortunately I bought four of their albums so I uploaded them here on RU-vid.
Thank you for posting this and part one. I went to purchase the DVD recently and saw that he had unfortunately passed away. I'm glad I can finally enjoy this, since I never got a chance to get a hold of it. If you happen to know where I could maybe get a copy, I would appreciate it, but if not, I will simply download and enjoy this video. Thanks again, and all the best to you :-)
