Does no one find it bizarre the team called Fiveman, with vehicles called the Fivemachines, doesn't have a robot formed from 5 machines when the last 2 teams before did? 😂
I'll be honest: I really wish Captain Ryuya's villainous reveal was transitioned into Time Force as well. And NO, not to Alex, to Captain Logan. Basically, he was the original Quantum Time Force Power Ranger and leader of the team, but during an incident (PICK one), he discovered two timelines where he and the rest of the Rangers (including Alex) fought Ransik in both the present (30th) and past (21st); although Ransik was stopped in both timelines, Logan ended up dying (while the rest of the Rangers, even Alex, survived). To ensure he lives, he allowed Ransik to escape to the past (costing Alex his life), then, after the Rangers departed to the past to stop Ransik, he sent his Quantum Morpher back in time to the 21st to ensure that someone would become the Quantum Ranger in his place and help the Rangers when needed; the morpher ended up in the hands of Mr. Collins, who gave it to Eric Meyers. Then, when the Rangers decided to return to the past, Alex became a little more aggressive in stopping them, yet he was easily subdued. TIme Force is alerted of the escaping Rangers, and Logan catches them trying to use the Time Ship to return to the past and tries to order them to surrender, but as Jen begs the captain to let them go and save Wes (professing his love for her), Circuit discovers information on the captain and reveals to the Rangers that HE was the original Quantum Ranger and mastermind behind Ransik's escape. Logan admits that everything Circuit revealed was true (leading to Jen angrily blaming him for Alex's original death). The Rangers angrily berate their captain for his willingness to sacrifice millions (or even BILLIONS) just to save himself, but Logan threatens to kill them if they try to resist. Obviously, the Rangers resist and try to take down Logan, but the antagonistic Time Force captain easily subdues them as he is OLDER than them and more trained. Then, just as he's about to execute the Rangers for their alleged treason (starting with Jen), Alex arrives at the last second and unintentionally kills Logan to save Jen, effectively causing Logan's death (that he tried to avoid) to come true (albeit in a different manner). Alex then tries to convince Jen (and the rest of the Rangers for that matter) to stay with him in the future, but she tells him they can't live their lives knowing that it cost Wes his life and returns his engagement ring to him. Though heartbroken, he covers he covers for the Rangers to allow them to return to the past and advises them to use the Megazord in Jet Mode to reach the past faster, to which she thanks him. Afterwards (though not shown until HyperForce), Alex becomes the new captain of Time Force in the deceased Logan's place (though Logan's crimes are never revealed). There ARE a few differences between Logan and Ryuya though: 1. Unlike Ryuya, he DOES actually show remorse for his actions. 2. He claims that he sent his Quantum Morpher to the past hoping that someone else would not only take it in his place...but (unlike Logan) actually SURVIVE. 3. Before he threatens to kill the Rangers if they try to return to the past, he agrees to allow them to turn him in should they choose not to resist. I suppose, however, the reason it was never used was because it was not only considered too dark for a kid's show (let alone an American show)...but because Captain Logan was seriously underdeveloped compared to Ryuya. (And by the way, Ransik's character arc and redemption DO remain the same.)
