Thrilled with mine! 6324 in black on black and navy on black. Diesel marine mechanic, and they have the much needed stretch while getting in and out of engine rooms or bays. At 6’6” and 260 lbs, I e never been able to find such a great fitting pair of pants, the 36” inseam, make them a pleasure to wear. Costly, but worth every penny. Great video Simon, thanks for sharing!
Hey up, not seen the 6324 will have a look, that's what happens if you pay a bit more you end up with a pant that fits, I think snickers are the best work wear that money can buy, thanks for watching and dropping a comment, much appreciated, ride safe Simon 😎
Hey Simon, cool video! Couple of questions: still using the kit? How is it? Is it worh it? I'm thinking to buy it to put in it some tools, mini compressor and fast tire repair: my only concern is related to temperature. Do you think temperature can damage electronic device (compressor) or fast tire repair (high temperature vs pressure)? Cheers
Hey up David, no I'm not using it anymore, as I've sold the bike 😲, it's a bit of money is it worth it 🤔, yes and no, it gives you great storage but I seemed to forget it's there 🙄, I also read the the bike doesn't perform as well as the air filter was designed to vortex air to the intake, don't think there will be any issues with a mini compressor or high temperature, if there was the plastic tray would melt, hope that helps, ride safe Simon B 😎
Hey up, thanks for watching, I do have protection in my jacket for elbows and shoulders, them ear plugs are from custom fit guards, they make personal fit plugs, very good, ride safe Simon B 😎
Similar to myself, Garne £200 boots, knee protection, MX pants, astar chest/back, elbow pads, acerbis enduro jacket, helmet. None of my gear is waterproof. I'm currently recovering from a multiple fractured upper femur, simple clumsy low speed fall caused by catching the edge of a rut. Wondered if shoulder protection would have helped but as the fractures weren't caused by impact, rather the bone flexing over it's length I don't think it would have. If you search my name and oops fracture on RU-vid you'll see my off on the Isle of Man! Btw I particularly enjoyed your Island videos. Keep safe out there Simon :)
Hey up John, I'll have a look for that, can't be too careful, it's easily done 😲, we will be over again soon to the island for another weekend on the lanes, get well soon, ride safe Simon B 😎
Coming from someone who's completely new to enduro & soon to get a bike this is the type of video I've been looking for !!! Another great gideo Simon, the stickers you sent me are ready to go on my bike soo as I get it.
If you’re new to it and you’re getting a bike try a Beta 480, I trade in my comfortable new tiger 900 for one, they’re fantastic fun. The bonus is they are cheaper than the three KTM and I’d say as good if not better.👍
13:50 , I looked into rib protection after my crash on the SRAD. I hadn't thought of horsey stuff (my sister does horses) but found rib guards for GoCarting. I need to get something for rib protection, I can't be doing with that level of pain again... and it was pretty much 'full on' for four weeks or more. I also managed to crack a rib the other week trying to load my ZZR on to a trailer, that was more like a severe stitch though. I think I'll probably get something like the Leatt 4.5 for on and off road.
I have an emtb and would love to ride those trails, unfortunately I dont live anywhere near there so would need to get the bikes there in a van which I don't have lol. I like the idea of doing entire rides without relying on a van etc, the bikes would be a great solution IF they had the range and speed.( obviously speed on them is limited to 15mph which is dangerous on the roads imho ). Thinking of getting a motorbike again now but think I got bored before riding on roads so green laning might be the thing to try out next.
Hey up, I also ride a EMTB, and ride these lanes but the bridal ways are better, can't go wrong with a motorbike 😁, they are great, thanks for watching, ride safe Simon B 😎
Hey up the siljan flows more air and feel more substantial if I were to have an off, I really like the squadron , but sometimes don't feel that are protective enough, hope that helps, ride safe Simon B 😎
Hello Simon, thank you for the reply and that really helps, I have the rukka appolo gloves, took em out on Fri and my hands were hot and sweaty, love them but definitely not a warm summer gloves, so I was looking into the rukka forceair, the squadron recommended by you and Motolegends then as subscriber this review popped up and looks like Siljan is front runner, but is say I wish they made both hands touch screen capable but not end of the world ass long as its great level of protection and breathable.
Hey up , not had a problem I've just changed my phone again and running on xaiomi hyper OS system, I've had no problems, have you got the full version ?, I'd message Moto scan and ask them, hope you get sorted, ride safe Simon B 😎
Hey up John, no it doesn't, that's what it needs to be cross referenced with the council map or the TRF green map, there is not a one stop shop for the information on green lanes ☹️, ride safe Simon B 😎
@@SIMONB1 Yes I've ridden it quite a few times with mates back in the 70s and 80s long before the riding aids like abs on bikes like the cb750k and my Norton commando
Bet those would be fun on my electric mountain bike too. Watched till the end, very good advice, I have friend who used to go green laning ,ight havr to have a word with him.
I cycled it once in my teens back in 75. It was touch and go on me old ten speed bike with canvas panniers. We didn’t have the huge gears that gave really low gearing as modern bikes.
@@SIMONB1 The back wheel was slipping on the wet, steep bits on the old racing bike. I really needed to Zig zag, but there was too much traffic so it was a frontal assault.
Sold my Vit 701, just couldn’t gel with it, great pity as I loved the looks. Bought the nearest thing Tuono 660 factory, almost as light and looks almost as good.
Hey up, I love mine, but glad it has the raised bar mod on it, it makes it a better riding position, glad your enjoying the tuono , thanks for watching and dropping a comment, ride safe Simon B 😎
@@SIMONB1 I thought about doing that mod, but the thought of dropping any more money on it and not being satisfied would have been annoying. Glad you’re enjoying yours. I think they are one of the nicest, most unique bikes since the Ducati 916.
@@SIMONB1 in fact as far as can be...every single part is disassembled... except the engine NOT YET dismantled. Next step is getting the main parts repainted (epoxy powder and pro spray paint) and zinc coating every screw and small parts...I don't plan to ride this year...
🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for sharing Simon, Now i don't need to come and ride the Hardknott Pass anymore 🤣 You done it for me 🤣 It is a bit technical but there are other passes harther than this one 🤔 You got a coffee from me 🤑
You can hear it’s steep cos of the Engine. Did H and Wrynose on a 650 triumph in 1982. It was steep, I needed first as I was two up, but scary? Nah. Just a road. Great fun great views. Nice vid
Hey up , were the road conditions any better then 🤔, couldn't be any worse than now, thanks for watching and dropping a comment much appreciated, ride safe Simon B 😎
@@SIMONB1 think they weren’t potholed to the same extent. It’s a long time ago! I think modern riders who have problems with this route have very little experience of single track roads off camber corners( try them with a bloody sidecar if you want excitement) and shit tarmac. So it’s all too much. ( they also seem to follow too closely so they have to stop unexpectedly)I can get by off road but desert racing would be 80 mph outside my comfort zone. Did the Ring of Beara in Ireland About 60miles of coastal hugging roads where I never got above third gear. On a guzzi 1000. Like you say, look ahead, keep planning where your going to be and use the whole road!
LOL yep your totally on the scariest road if you close your eyes drive safe its not bikers all bad car drivers just don't look where there going just like the car that didn't wait bud keep safe 💯🏍🛵 🙈🙉🙊
Hiya Simon, I've been to the lightweight adventure festival, someone was doing a demonstration on how to change a tyre that is tubed I couldn't believe the way he was doing it, he did the getting the tube out first 😂 looking at your short video you do it the same has me it so easy that way, after the demonstration I took him to one side and tried to explain our way is far far easier. Keep the channel
Hey up, if it was a bicycle tyre I'd be doing it that way, but it's easier to have the tube in the tyre before it gets near the wheel, what was his reaction after the chat ?
@@SIMONB1 Well I tried to explain to get the wheel off you tyre lever both sides of the tyre off then with tyre inner tube valve at bottom push the wheel inside tyre then you can just pull the wheel out it's like magic how easy the wheel comes out, his reaction was luke warm, can imagine trying to get the tube out on the trail with cold and wet hands, hopefully he will change his way he shows people but a doubt it 😔
@@SIMONB1 I’ve not been up on any bike yet Simon.. but as i checked it out in the car. I had the Africa twin at the time. I think it’s pissed it down every time since 😂 well when I’ve been off work.
@greengoblindave nice, did you want something a little more easy to handle, as I believe the large adv bikes are going to become a thing of the past, as they are getting too big 😲
Hey up Rosco, yes watched a video yesterday of doc wob taking his bearings out, he warmed up his also, will be doing that next time 🤔, thanks for watching and dropping a comment much appreciated, ride safe Simon B 😎
In recent months your videos have taken a wrong turn and now come across as being arrogant and patronising. I think you need to take stock and perhaps consider that you do not represent the majority of bikers. Many new, inexperienced bikers will find your comments offensive and belittling and anyone who has ever dropped their bike on this pass will just think you’re taking the p**s out of their misfortune. Why don’t you try to do the route on a Triumph Rocket complete with luggage and a pillion on a Bank Holiday weekend and see how you get on, are you up for the challenge?
Hey up jack rabbit this is your second comment on my videos first was really negative 🤔, then I seem to have offended you, best thing would be don't watch them anymore 👍, ride safe Simon B 😎
@@SIMONB1 Looking through the sensitive and hateful bits of his comment though - it would be much harder 2 full size blokes 2up on a 240kg tourer with luggage. Just done a Pyrenees and Alps tour with my 90kg son on the back of my little Tracer. Even just stopping and not toppling over can be a challenge :)
@daddystu7046 hey up stu, it would be harder by far, and the only way to avoid the tipping over is to be out riding and practice the basics, that most don't, slow speed mounovers is something that everyone would benefit from, thanks for dropping a comment, ride safe, Simon B 😎
@@SIMONB1 really??? Id so love it but I can't really at moment. It's a shame to sell it man, you should keep it! (How much were you looking for, may I ask?)
@@SIMONB1 7k pounds? Wow these are even less affordable than last time I checked. You should keep it, they're only going to appreciate and that thing is like a museum piece. ❤️. Best of luck on your sale. I think you'll miss it when it's gone:(
@@SIMONB1i think it's good for me, thank you for the response. Looks like she'll be a good big sister for my Yamaha V70. By the way, what are the good modern alternative for this RD350? Preferably something upright
I am a builder. use snickers for the last 20 years. This trousers last forever. Some guys at work wear denin and change to a new pair every couple of month. Some of my snickers are 4 years old and appart looking dirty they steel perform with no holes in them. elastic band for the belt will be nice!! take not snickers
Hey up Eric, they are good work pants, I've not tried any of the other premium brands, I wonder what they are like 🤔, thanks for watching and dropping a comment much appreciated, ride safe Simon B 😎
@@SIMONB1 Hi there I tried mascot, they are good as resistante but a bit heavy and on a work day you feel it. I tried also over the years timberland but their size are all wrong. Snickers are really best and if you try the body warmer for the winter you will never want to take it of😀
