Alternatively, would I need a white underbase if I was printing green ink colour on a medium blue t-shirt? I would prefer a black t-shirt but as I'll be using a crude DIY setup, there's no way that I could get perfect registration for a white underbase.
I'm planning to do some screen printing at home with black t-shirts. So I'll likely have a crude DIY setup. I would think that a white underbase requires perfect registration and it's unlikely that I'll be able to achieve that with my setup at home. So no white unberbase for me. However, from your video, it sounds like I might be able to get semi-vibrant colour by applying more ink than usual? Maybe I'll try three passes and see how that goes. Yes, I would be using more ink (which might sound wasteful initially) but I'll only be using a single colour (green.) At least I won't be buying two ink colours for each t-shirt print (white and green.)
I did that with my 8.5x11 for a long time then I found a used 19x13 printer for a good price and went with it and I am still using it four years later.
I’ve always found it the screen print has bubbled or any texture to it and then you fold/ scrunch etc before dying it penetrates under the ink and causes the staining. I find it can eventually clean off from washing / wiping but sometimes it’s just like that!
This is great! I work in a sheet metal shop and you’d think they’d encourage an employee discount from a build it yourself standpoint but noooo. Anyways I invested in that Sgreen washout and had the company make a dump sink that had brackets set inside to add the screens and brackets on the side for filter placement and lockable casters for easy transport and mobility. It’s all knockdown construction too so it can be disassembled if I move or need to ship one out for maintenance.
I would recommend keeping a hard copy for the legality of it. There is a case in international court that covers copywrite (you can look it up) sometime I can remember when but maybe like 2010 or so maybe I am off. The original ruling was challenged and as I read international courts said if you own content (a movie DVD for example) you have every right to back up that content (digitize it). But keep in mind the phrase "if you own it" so if you are concerned with the legality of it all I would suggest you retain your hard copy and to save space buy a large CD/DVD binder and toss the bulky individual cases. But hey thats just me.
Been Plex Pass doing my own media server since 2016 I have a rather large collection and I just like not having to worry which streaming service has the rights to what ever movie i want to watch at that moment.
That's a nice printing shop. Mine is in the garage too but filled with other junk. I'm building a drying cabinet stacked on top is my exposure unit, then stacked on top of that is going to be my glass art table which I plan to install an actuator to tilt it. The exposure unit is going to sit on a tray which I could slide out in order to lift the vacuum cover. Trying to save on space because I've got home-improvement shit all around the garage. I plan to build a shed in the backyard to move all that junk out, to have a decent looking printing operation in the garage. BTW, I've had a Riley Hopkins 4 station/ 6 color press for 7 years now. One of the knobs broke off of the adjustment clamps, after first 2 weeks of use. So, brand isn't everything..you'd think something solid as a RH machine would have good tightening knobs.
My old Riley Hopkins also had a couple broken knobs, which was a bummer, but luckily Ryonet sells a replacement kit with spare parts like knobs/springs/etc.
I'm just seeing this video and was in the mist of working with a White under base and had did a sample and found the Red I'm using pops better with the White under base...without it the color looks dull and flat

Sure, a smaller one. I wanted to build a bigger one, and those can go for well over $1200. The point is you can make your own as big or small as you want for much less than the professional one will cost.
Don’t convert MKv files into MP4, eeegads… Plex handles MKV just fine and so do all your devices. Using handbrake to transcode your MKV is fine if you are trying to simply compress the file size down (accepting some degree of quality loss) you can leave everything in MKV format.
Still using an old Epson 1430, going on 10 years, seems like it's getting a little tired. I'm wondering if there is a smaller / affordable option to print films for garage printers like myself? 13by19 inch films
