Basically: if the show got renewed, that meant Eli managed to repair a stasis pod and the Destiny had the energy to reach the next galaxy. If not, the Destiny is now adrift with the crew in stasis, potentially thousands of years from ever being revived, and Eli's fate unknown. So, technically, in the show's canon they're out there right now, floating across the incomprehensibly vast nothing between galaxies, and I think this piece of music really expresses that idea.

Has anyone tried to contact MGM or the goldsmith estate inquiring about the recording of this specific song or even a CD of the music of Stargate Universe?
I have and I feel like I should write again. Basically they said, that if people want the soundtrack, they will look into publishing it somewhere. I believe it was about 2 years ago... I will write them today and post on Reddit (r/Stargate) what I got.
I don't support a dubstep version of this song. Never. Maybe a very, very good Drum and Bass rendition, probably Liquid DnB. But this piece of music is just too good for any other genre :-) Don't hate on MGM for not getting Atlantis movies out, because I think by then they didn't have lots of money to do that, but just enough to do SGU properly. The other thing is that I think the people behind SGU thought they'd be better able to do more quality stories with SGU than with Atlantis, and they did that very well.
I've just seen the episode right now, again for the 23492734th time. It will always hunt me in my dreams to think about what might happen(ed) to the Destiny. The Series was great, no matter what all the Haters said.. Too bad they've canceled it. Too bad we will never discover Destinys last Harbour. I've wished for a Finale for this Series that they enter Earths orbit with the Destiny..
@@DespotarX they survived, Eli found another stash of pods with the ancients in them (engineers left behind by accident) they rebuild the destiny with an army of robots and it kicked ass out of the drones. mission goes on. all in the comics 'return to destiny'.
This is the same thing that happened to Star Trek Voyager! Not every show has to always have funny sides to it. This show like Galactica, Caprica, and recent star trek series were just way ahead of their time. Season one showed the climate and scope of people, but season two got into the depth of characters and the ship as a whole. These shows have real tidbits of science in them, and for that some people start complaining. Why I don't know? Good shows get axed, all that's left are jokes!
