SVI specializes in crafting custom emergency vehicles for agencies around the world. With roots in the emergency service industry dating back to 1954, we began building custom fire and rescue apparatus in 1971. Since that time, we have gained a rock-solid reputation for superior quality and innovative designs.

So Fairbanks, AK. & this department have SVI rigs, are there any other SVI rigs in Alaska? I really like both of these rigs! SVI really makes a quality “rescue”rig!
Nice and unique “wet” rescue! So the rig has a 250 gal h2O tank and a 1K gpm ?? pump. Curious what brand of rescue tool you use. Hopefully your people get many years of service!!
Nice “light” rescue rig! It reminds me of one of the first rescue rigs I worked with but this has a few more bells and whistles than what was available in the 80s!!
I realize SVI utilizes other manufacturers custom or commercial cabs, but what’s the lead time and process to get a Spartan or Sutphen (for example), chassis ordered and in to be worked on there in Ft Collins? Topeka, good luck and good service on this Sweet rig!!👍🏽🇺🇸
Compliments to Chief Troche on an excellent presentation. Looks like a lot of good planning went into this design. With an OAL of only 37' 4", you've packed a lot of equipment in efficiently. Over four years later, are you still satisfied with your Sutphen/SVI? What would you or did you change?
Don t know why all these heavy rescue companies only spec a 12,000 lb winches. My squad had an old 68 maximum and had a 20 ton hydraulic winch on the back end. Useful for rescuing fire trucks stuck in mud or snow
